On 12 Nov 04 a forty-one year old Waterford
resident reported his five year old daughter may be being abused
her mother. Deputy Sheriff Norman referred this case to Children’s
Services for further investigation.
On 12 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes was dispatched
to the home of Christina J. Ward, age 27, Hickory Lane Lot
3, New Matamoras, in response to a disturbance Ms. Ward reported
outside her trailer. Ms. Ward stated Carol Y. Wright, age 27,
33779 Big Lick Road, New Matamoras, and an accomplice were
pounding on the sides and windows of the trailer, shouting
obscenities. Deputy Rhodes interviewed the suspects at the
scene and determined through a computer check that Ms. Wright
was in such a proximity to Ms. Ward that she was in violation
of a protection order Ms. Ward has against her. In consequence,
Deputy Rhodes arrested Ms. Wright for violating said order
and transported her to the Washington County Jail.
On 12 Nov 04 Willard G. Bush, age 27, 110
Kesselring Run Road, Newport, reported witnessing three male
suspects unsuccessfully attempting to gain entry into two of
his vehicles. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 12 Nov 04 Brian A. Silvus, age 21, 4225
North Early Ridge Road, McConnelsville, reported between midnight
and 7 that morning, an acquaintance may have damaged the left
taillight, mirror and headlight of his Buick Century while
parked at 836 Pike Street in Marietta. This case remains under
investigation (1071).
On 12 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued citations
to a fourteen year old and a sixteen year old Washington County
Career Center students for the underage possession of tobacco
earlier in the month.
On 12 Nov 04 Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic
stop at Pearl Street in Marietta after observing the vehicle
traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on State Route 7. A canine
unit handled by the Marietta City Police Department indicated
the presence of drugs in the vehicle and a subsequent search
yielded a marijuana pipe and plastic bag containing marijuana.
The driver Vincent T. Gentiluomo, age 22, 2880 Narrows Road,
Perry, OH, admitted the items were his, arrested for possessing
said items and transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Carol Yvonne Wright, age 27, 33779 Big Lick
Road, New Matamoras, for violating a court ordered protection
order, a misdemeanor. Wright was arrested in New Matamoras
by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Nov 04 at 3:35 am.
