On 7 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of Mar Ren Apartments
on Tennis Center Drive in Reno. Crystal D. George, age 27,
598 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 20, was backing her Mercury Sable
into a parking stall when she struck the driver’s side
door of an adjacent Ford Focus owned by Enterprise Rental,
832 Pike Street, Marietta. Both vehicles sustained only light
damage.
On 7 Nov 04 Timothy E. Thrasher, age 34, 115
Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, struck a deer near mile post fourteen
as he traveled north on State Route 60 in Adams Township. Mr.
Thrasher was uninjured as the impact caused damage to the grill
and headlight assembly of Mr. Thrasher’s 1991 Chevy truck
(500).
On 7 Nov 04 an employee of Turn 10, 350 Millcreek
Road, Marietta, reported between 5:15 pm the previous evening
and 11 am that morning the business was forcibly entered and
several safes were stolen. This case remains under investigation
(684).
On 7 Nov 04 Phillip Smith, age 40, State Route
555, Cutler, reported his Adidas windbreaker containing a key
ring with a dozen keys was stolen at some point during the
past twenty-four hours. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
On 7 Nov 04 eight residents in the vicinity
of Hendricks Road in Newport reported their unlocked vehicles
were entered and a number of items were stolen including: cell
phones, cash, CD players, CD’s, wallets and purses. This
case remains under investigation (296).
On 7 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes initiated
a traffic stop near mile post thirty-three in Newport after
observing the vehicle he was following travel twice to the
right of the roadway’s edge line and once across the
centerline. In speaking with the driver, Thomas J. McKenzie,
age 25, 2901 Barth Road, Belpre, Deputy Rhodes noticed an odor
of alcohol. Despite being the night’s designated driver,
Mr. McKenzie performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had
a blood alcohol content above the legal limit. Accordingly,
Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. McKenzie for OVI and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Victor Delano Sunderman, age 48, 155 Harris
Street, Newport, for OVI and for failure to signal, both misdemeanors.
Sunderman was arrested on Third Street by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Nov
04 at 3:35 am.
Thomas James McKenzie III, age 25, 2901 Barth
Road, Belpre, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel,
both misdemeanors. McKenzie was arrested on State Route 7 by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Nov 04 at 4:30 am.
Shana Dorane Iery, age 35, 6180 Waterford
Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor.
Iery turned
herself in at the Sheriff’s Office to Deputy Sheriff
Eddy and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 7
Nov 04 at 12:10 pm.
Niki Alan Ledford, age 34, for disorderly
conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Ledford turned herself
in at the Sheriff’s
Office to Deputy Sheriff Eddy and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Nov 04 at 12:45 pm.
John Wayne Luke, age 43, 717 Quarry Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Luke was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Nov 04 at 5:45 pm.
