On 4 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins investigated
a single vehicle collision in the parking lot of Cadre Company
at 115 Tennis Center Drive in Reno. James L. Scarlott, age
47, 1620 Old Airport Road, Nunnelly, TN, was backing while
turning around in his Volvo tractor-trailer when the rear of
the trailer caught a low hanging power line. The collision
caused minor damage to the roof of Cadre and no damage to Mr.
Scarlott’s vehicle.
On 4 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a two vehicle collision on an access road the Porterfield power
substation off Township 97 in Belpre Township. Rodney Cantwell,
age 54, 1803 Murdoch Avenue, Parkersburg, was attempting to
maneuver past a Dodge Shadow owned by Brian Birt, 1220 Drag
Strip Road, Belpre, which was blocking the roadway. Passing
to the right on a slight, damp slope, the rear tires of Mr.
Cantwell’s Ford truck slid down the hillside into the
driver’s side door and rear quarter panel of the opposite
facing vehicle. Mr. Cantwell’s vehicle sustained no damage
while the damage to Mr. Birt’s vehicle was moderate.
On 4 Nov 04 Debra K. Boyce, age 41, 979 Reeds
Run Road, Whipple, reported between 4:30 Wednesday afternoon
and 10:30 that morning an unlocked storage building on her
property was entered and its contents strewn about. At this
time no items appear to be missing. This case remains under
investigation (296).
On 4 Nov 04 James Wilson, age 53, 2720 Beach
Drive Lot 4, Belpre, reported within the last two weeks, two
license plates were stolen off his front porch. This case remains
under investigation (1090).
On 4 Nov 04 Steven Farley, age 59, 300 Starlite
Drive Lot 47, Marietta, reported unbeknownst to him, an SBC
phone card was stolen from his mail and used to amass over
$150 in long distance charges. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 4 Nov 04 Gail A. Bayless, age 19, 125 Millers
Lane Apt. B4, Marietta, reported three articles of clothing
were stolen while she left her laundry unattended for six hours
in the Laundromat of Gates Green Apartments early that morning.
This case remains under investigation (1184).

Tony C. Hendrickson, age 35, 124 Walnut Street,
Belpre, for an assault in Vincent on 31 Mar 04.
Shana D. Iery, age 35, 6180 Waterford Road, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by fighting on 13 Sep 04.
Niki A. Ledford, age 34, 6180 Waterford Road, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by fighting on 13 Sep 04.
Sheldon D. Hill, age 21, 2691C Lake Road,
Fleming, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 25 Aug 04.
Harry D. Stewart Sr., age 43, Pigeon Gap Road,
Cambridge, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause on 25 Oct 04.
Misty L. McFadden, age 30, 1005 Front Street, Marietta, for
failing to require her dog to wear a valid dog tag on 21 Sep
04.
Margie A. Taylor, age 36, 803 Ridge Road, Belpre, for contempt
for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $39.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshua Aaron Kidd, age 23, 7371 Brook Boulevard,
Reynoldsburg, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for criminal mischief, both misdemeanors.
Kidd was arrested at the Seventh Street Speedway in Marietta
by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Nov 04 at
12:48 am.
Craig Anthony Curtis, age 47, 4815 Prince Charles Way, Hilliard,
OH, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Curtis
was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Nov 04 at
1:00 am.
Dean Edsel Secoy, age 75, Box 103 State Route
550, Bartlett, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Secoy
was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Nov 04 at 10:55 am.
