On 1 Nov 04 Carol S. Kesterson, age 57, 2924 Deming Road, Vincent, reported she and her husband engaged in a verbal argument that evening. Further investigation by Deputy Sheriff Spencer determined no assault, threats of harm or violence occurred.

On 1 Nov 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded to a report of domestic violence at 2035 Stanleyville Narrows Road in Whipple. Janet Longfellow, age 44, stated subsequent to an argument in their kitchen, her live-in boyfriend John A. McGee, age 51, grabbed her by the wrist and bent it back then put his hands around her neck and began choking her. Determining Ms. Longfellow was in fear for her safety, Deputy Norman arrested Mr. McGee for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 1 Nov 04 an employee of Charter Communications reported when he arrived at 2719 Mead Street, Belpre, to turn off the cable for delinquent payment, the homeowner became confrontational. Richard Buttermore, age 30, grabbed the cable man’s clipboard and flung it like a Frisbee across the yard and began a tirade of obscenities. Based on further investigation, Deputy Sheriff Evans requested a summons for Mr. Buttermore for disorderly conduct.

On 1 Nov 04 an employee of Mondo Construction, 27620 State Route 7, Marietta, reported over the weekend a storage building on the premises was forcibly entered and a contractor package drill set and a power generator were stolen. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 1 Nov 04 Sgt. Hiatt was dispatched to 26930 State Route 7, Marietta, after the home’s resident Nancy L. Seagle, age 23, frantically reported her estranged boyfriend James D. Rhodes, age 29, 519 Ingram Road, Newport, commenced beating on the door with as wrench and repeatedly hurling his body into her door while making threats to cause her bodily harm. Citing his past history of abuse and current actions, Sgt. Hiatt arrested Mr. Rhodes for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 1 Nov 04 Ryan W. Cooper, age 22, PO Box 204, Reno, reported between Friday evening and Sunday morning the Uniden CB radio was stolen from his Mack truck parked at 30745 State Route 7, Marietta. This case remains under investigation (1091).

Patricia L. Adams, age 40, 22 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for failing to confine or restrain a dog and for failing to require the dog to wear a valid dog tag on 8 Oct 04.

Richard D. Bailey, age 48, Route 8 Box 293A, Marietta, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 1 Oct 04.

Linda K. Brooks, age 42, 40 Hazlewood Road, Marietta, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 1 Oct 04.

Krystal M. Lincoln, age 40, 729 Ninth Street, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve two days in jail on 25 Oct 04.

Frederick C. Pence, age 48, 1007 24th Street, Parkersburg, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 1 Oct 04.

Shawn B. Beaver, age 20, 836 Pike Street Apt. 22, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled meeting, for failing to show proof of restitution and for failing to complete community service as ordered by the court.

Dana B. Curry, age 32, 114 Elmwood Avenue, Marietta, for a burglary perpetrated on 18 Sep 04.

Michael E. McIntosh, age 40, PO Box 34 State Route 821, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $411.60.

Casey W. Morris, age 23, 10 Hartman Road, The Plains, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $468.

Stephanie J. Reed, age 31, 1405 Grandview Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $391.95.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

James Dennis Rhodes, age 29, 518 Ingram Road, Newport, for violating the terms of his probation and for domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Rhodes was arrested in Reno by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Nov 04 at 9:00 am.

Dana Britton Curry, age 32, 114 Elmwood Avenue, Marietta, for a felony charge of burglary and a misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks. Britton was picked up at the Central Regional Jail in West Virginia by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Nov 04 at 2:45 pm.

John Alden McGee, age 51, 2035 Stanleyville Narrows Road, Whipple, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. McGee was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Nov 04 at 11:45 pm.
