On 29 Oct 04 a member of the Reno Volunteer
Fire Department, 250 Cornerville Road, Reno, reported the organization
received a bad check for $50 on 1 Jul 04. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
On 29 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke investigated
a deer-vehicle collision on US 50, a quarter of a mile west
of State Route 339 in Belpre Township. Joseph A. Moore, age
49, 28481 Torch Road, Coolville, was eastbound on US 50 when
he struck a deer that bounded into the roadway from the north.
Mr. Moore’s Dodge van sustained nonfunctional damage
though the deer did not fare as well.
On 29 Oct 04 the owner of Fleas and More,
State Route 550, Fleming, reported receiving a check for $49.25
he later learned was stolen and forged. This case remains under
investigation (1091).
On 29 Oct 04 a fifteen year old Little Hocking
resident reported her fifteen year old boyfriend punched her
in the leg as they rode the bus home from school that day.
This case remains under investigation (232).
On 29 Oct 04 Kirk D. Kline, age 43, 104 Kenwood
Avenue, Marietta, reported since the first of July, an unknown
suspect(s) has dumped miscellaneous debris and refuse on the
property of his summer cottage at 1415 Ash Road in Marietta.
This case remains under investigation (695).
On 29 Oct 04 Dale J. Huck, age 77, 5650 State
Route 60, Marietta, reported during the past two months an
unknown suspect has dumped ground up trees on his property.
This case remains under investigation (695).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Patricia L. Adams, age 40, 22 Colegate Drive,
Marietta, for failing to confine or restrain a dog and for
failing to require the dog to wear a valid dog tag on 28 Sep
04.
Miriam J. Jones, age 42, 1023 Green Street,
Marietta, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on
12 Jul 04.
Keith E. Thomas, age 48, 117 Franklin Street,
Marietta, for failing to confine or restrain a dog on 2 Oct
04.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Christopher Brumley, age 18, 522 ½ Third
Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Brumley was arrested at his residence by Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 29 Oct 04 at 2:00 pm.
Ted Dwayne Keiser, age 39, 3407 Sixth Avenue,
Parkersburg, for fishing without a nonresident fishing license,
a misdemeanor.
Keiser was arrested on State Route 7 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 Oct 04 at 10:30 pm.
