On 22 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated a traffic stop on State Route 821 near D.A.V. Road in Muskingum Township after observing a vehicle traveling faster than the 55 mph speed limit. While identifying the driver Patrick A. Brannan, age 42, 1 Railroad Street, Whipple, Deputy Evans noticed an odor of alcohol and was informed by dispatch of an outstanding warrant for Mr. Brannan. After Mr. Brannan performed poorly on field sobriety tests Deputy Evans arrested him for the outstanding warrant and for OVI and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 22 Oct 04 Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic stop on State Route 7 near Township Road 7 in Warren Township after observing the tires of the vehicle he was following travel to the right of the white edge line on several occasions within a quarter of a mile. In speaking with the driver, Chase R. Watson, age 23, 108 Iroquois Drive, Marietta, Lt. Wilson noticed an odor of alcohol. Mr. Watson performed poorly on field sobriety tests, arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 22 Oct 04 Bruce W. Morgan, age 50, 1697 Welch Road, Cutler, reported when he ventured approximately five hundred yards behind his home to a hunting cabin on his property, he discovered it burnt to the ground. This case remains under investigation (1203).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Chase Reece Watson, age 23, 108 Iroquois Drive, Marietta, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Watson was arrested on State Route 7 by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 04 at 4:05 am.

Dawn Marie Haught, age 28, 112 Maple Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Haught was arrested on Dawes Circle in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 04 at 10:45 am.

Robert Matthew Parrish, age 28, 207 Aurora Street Apt. C, Marietta, for breaking and entering, a felony. Parrish was arrested in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 04 at 10:40 pm.

Patrick Alan Brannan, age 42, 1 Railroad Street, Whipple, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for .08 breath OVI and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Brannan was arrested on D.A.V. Road by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Oct 04 at 10:45 pm.
