On 20 Oct 04 Detective Kapple issued a citation
to Shane D. Williams, age 25, 807 Clement Avenue, Belpre, for
operating a vehicle with fictitious registration. Detective
Kapple stopped Mr. Williams on the 1600 block of Hill Street
in Belpre.
On 20 Oct 04 Lynn E. Wallace, age 43, 4370
Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, reported an acquaintance may have
stolen the purse from her car between 6 and 7:30 pm that evening.
This case remains under investigation (232).
On 20 Oct 04 Hester Dobbins, age 19, 101 Evans
Street Apt. A2, New Matamoras, reported five checks to a closed
account were stolen from her residence between 30 Sep and 19
Oct. This case remains under investigation (232).
On 20 Oct 04 Donna S. Croxton, age 49, 1139
Welch Road, Cutler, reported at some point during the past
week an unknown suspect(s) spray painted obscenities on the
ground, burned a tent and wooden chair and stole beer and canned
food from a camper parked near a pond on her property. This
case remains under investigation (592).
On 20 Oct 04 Sgt. Hiatt was dispatched to
the Duke and Duchess on State Route 60 in Lowell in response
to an assault complaint. Upon his arrival Timothy C. McGraw,
age 44, 830 Ridge Street, Marietta informed Sgt. Hiatt that
a coworker at Triple I Trucking criticized him on the way he
cleaned the tailgate of his dump truck. When rebuffed, the
coworker, Robert C. Kitts, age 47, 106 Linwood Avenue, Marietta,
charged Mr. McGraw and attempted to knock him down. Unsuccessful,
Mr. Kitts put Mr. McGraw in a headlock, grabbed and twisted
his beard and shoved his hand into Mr. McGraw' s chin. Sgt.
Hiatt corroborated the accounts of both parties, arrested Mr.
Kitts for assault and transported him to the Washington County
Jail where he was released on a personal recognizance bond.
On 20 Oct 04 an employee of Grae-Con Construction,
101 Industry Road, Marietta, reported between 15 and 18 Oct,
a red Honda 6500 generator was stolen from a work site at AEP
in Waterford. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 20 Oct 04 June Doty, age 49, 692 Greene
Street, Newport, reported her fifteen year old daughter Stephanie
left their home without permission and possibly bound for Virginia,
around 7 am that morning. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 20 Oct 04 an employee of Martin's School
Supplies, 18581 State Route 7, Marietta, reported the business
received a bad check for $60.09 on 8 Jul 04. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Gary S. Anderson, age 29, 1238 Wheeling Avenue,
Zanesville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $308.75.
Amanda F. Atkinson, age 28, 881 Recter Road, Vienna, for contempt
for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,457.30.
Donald E. Wright, age 54, 3417 Lebanon Pike Apt. 106E, Hermitage,
TX, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,556.10.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Randal Lyle Elliott, age 40, 35 Stanley Street,
Newport, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Elliott was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Oct 04 at 4:20 pm.
Robert Craig Kitts, age 47, 106 Linwood Avenue, Marietta,
for assault, a misdemeanor. Kitts was arrested at the Duke
station in Lowell by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Oct 04 at 6:55 pm.
Amanda Melissa Wilson, age 31, 21759B Landwood Trail, Locus,
NC, for breach of recognizance, for driving under a suspended
license and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Wilson was picked
up at the Mahoning County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Oct 04 at 7:05
pm.
