On 19 Oct 04 a forty-six year old Belpre resident
reported his fifteen and twelve year old daughters left their
mother’s resident after their regularly scheduled visitation
on 16 Oct and did not attend school on 18 or 19 Oct. The juveniles
telephoned from Columbus on 19 Oct stating they would be home
later that day and did phone their father when they arrived
at their mother’s home. As a result of their actions,
Lt. Canavan requested summonses for the juveniles to appear
in juvenile court for being unruly.
On 19 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a single vehicle collision at 865 Silver Globe Road in Warren
Township. As a volunteer firefighter responding to the scene
of a vehicle fire, Paul Stacy, age 58, 850 Indian Run Road,
Marietta, parked his fire truck on the side of the road, set
the air brake and exited the pump vehicle to set the pump water
pressure. The truck then coasted approximately fifty feet off
the roadway and struck a picnic table, wooden ladder and a
saw horse before coming to rest. The fire truck sustained minor
damage and was driven from the scene.
On 19 Oct 04 Tyra Gandy, age 21, 1515 Camp
Hervida Road, Waterford, reported an acquaintance and former
roommate of hers telephoned several times demanding the return
of several belongings. Ms. Gandy retorted she would return
the property in exchange for rent the acquaintance had yet
to pay. The acquaintance then appeared at Ms. Gandy’s
residence screaming and attempting to enter the home. Ms.
Gandy opened the door to order the acquaintance off the property
when the acquaintance forced her way inside and began hitting
and choking Ms. Gandy. The acquaintance was finally appeased
when a roommate presented the disputed property and then
left
the scene. This case remains under investigation (592).
On 19 Oct 04 Tammy S. Reed, age 36, 440 Short
Brook Road, Vincent, reported after leaving her Jeep Cherokee
at the park and ride at State Route 339 and US 50, she returned
an hour later to discover obscenities written in soap on the
windows. This case remains under investigation (232).
On 19 Oct 04 Alice M. Greene, 290 Greene Street,
Newport, reported a Halloween decorative flag and pole were
stolen from outside her residence between 11:30 Monday night
and 9:30 Tuesday morning. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 19 Oct 04 an employee of Family Ford, Lincoln,
Mercury, 909 Pike Street, Marietta, reported after delivering
a new 2004 Ford F-150 to a customer on 8 Oct 04, the customer
has failed to return with payment as previously arranged. This
case remains under investigation (1184).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Thomas E. Malone, age 26, 308 Main Street,
Lowell, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on
1 Oct 04.
Earl W. Thompson, age 45, 292 Francis Road, Lowell, for violating
the terms of his probation by failing to obtain a valid operator’s
license or to appear to serve three days in jail on 14 Oct
04.
Cleveland J. Bedgood, age 29, last known address 2013 36th
Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear before
the court on charges of burglary and domestic violence.
The following individual
wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey William Hunn, age 18, 122 Harmar Street,
Marietta, for theft and for five counts of forgery, all felonies.
Hunn was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Sgt. Hiatt
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Oct 04 at 6:50 pm.
