On 10 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriffs Eddy and Malone
responded to the scene of a domestic dispute at 836 Pike Street,
Marietta. The seventeen year old victim stated she and her
live-in boyfriend David L. Perine, age 19, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 22, Marietta, were involved in an argument in a neighbor’s
apartment when he punched her in the head. Several witnesses
confirmed the victim’s account and as a result Deputy
Malone arrested Mr. Perine for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 10 Oct 04 Gregory D. Bentley, age 38, 99
Pryor Glass Road, New Matamoras, reported witnessing a seventeen
year old ride an ATV onto his property without permission.
The seventeen year old Canal Fulton resident admitted he inadvertently
drove onto Mr. Bentley’s property, not realizing it was
posted as “no trespassing.” In consequence Deputy
Sheriff Simmons requested a summons for the juvenile to appear
in juvenile court for being delinquent.
On 10 Oct 04 Ted E. Dobbin, age 60, 380 Mechanic
Street, Macksburg, reported between Saturday night and Sunday
morning, the window screens were cut and glasses were broken
out of two windows of a flood damaged home he owns at 141 Dilly
Street in Macksburg. This case remains under investigation
(296).
On 10 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to the scene of assault at the home of Mallory H. McCutcheon,
age 18, 436B Main Street, Waterford. Ms. McCutcheon stated
her ex-boyfriend Mark Thomas II, age 21, 90 Huck Lane, Waterford,
barged into her home uninvited, grabbed her friend and slammed
him into the floor and wall before pushing her into the wall.
As a result of further investigation Deputy Mankins arrested
Mr. Thomas for aggravated trespassing and for two counts of
assault and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael Joseph Collett, age 28, 2144 Seventh
Street SW, Akron, for OVI and for failure to control, both
misdemeanors. Collett was arrested on State Route 7 in Newport
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Oct 04 at 4:30 am.
David Lee Perine, age 19, 836 Pike Street Apt. 22, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Perine was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 04 at 6:05 am.
Aaron Joe Smith, age 22, 775 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for
driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors.
Smith was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10
Oct 04 at 6:00 pm.
Mark Anthony Thomas II, age 21, 90 Huck Lane, Vincent, for
aggravated trespassing and for two counts of assault, all misdemeanors.
Thomas was arrested on State Route 339 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 04
at 11:15 pm.
