On 7 Oct 04 an employee of Par Mar at 8600 State Route 339, Barlow, reported a customer drove off without paying for two gallons of gas between 6 and 8 pm that evening. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 7 Oct 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Brian C. Clark, age 20, 1107 Cumberland Drive, Akron for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Clark on State Route 821 near County Road 375 in Fearing Township.

On 7 Oct 04 Michael E. Kirkbride, age 30, 2570 Vickers Road, Marietta, reported five years after selling two mobile homes to an individual, the purchaser has failed to transfer the titles to his name. Due to the inaction of the purchaser Mr. Kirkbride has accrued a large sum of property taxes. This case remains under investigation (200).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Jason J. Corp, age 31, 20 Hopman Road, Whipple, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $175.50.

Celena A. Hardie, age 24, 2020 Bear Run Road, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $108.55.

Richard Morgan, General Delivery, Grundy, VA, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $455.

Seth T. Venham, age 18, 1060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $65.

Robert D. L. Rinehart, age 32, 2204 Meloy Road, Kent, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause.

Michael J. Babcock, age 27, 470 Cornerville Road, Marietta, for OVI on 10 Sep 04.

Brian D. Long, age 34, 307 Vernon Street, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve seven days in jail on 24 Sep 04.

Edward I. Porter, age 23, 46125 Slaters Addition, Caldwell, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled meeting, for failing to show proof of completing forty hours of community service and for failing to show proof of making restitution as ordered by the court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Daniel Dwaine Gaughan, age 38, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Gaughan was arrested on Fifth Street in Beverly by Patrolman Evans of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 04 at 2:05 am.

Jodi Lynn Schofield, age 23, 220 Sixth Street Apt. B, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Schofield was arrested on Bramblewood Heights Road by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 04 at 9:40 am.

Michael James Siders, age 24, Southgate Trailer Park, Reno, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Siders was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 04 at 3:50 pm.

Thomas Carl Drakos, age 51, 114A Fourth Street, Williamstown, for hit-skip and for improper backing, both misdemeanors. Drakos was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 04 at 7:25 pm.
