On 30 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins investigated
a hit-skip collision in the Kardex parking lot on State Route
7 in Marietta. Dorothy M. Gump, age 66, 205 Stanley Street,
Newport, was parked when the driver the driver of a Ford F150
backed his trailer hitch into the front bumper of her 1987
Volvo. The driver of the truck exited the vehicle and offered
to pay damages but when Ms. Gump rebuffed the offer and called
the police, the unknown driver absconded. This incident remains
under investigation.
On 30 Sep 04 an employee of Hilltop Auto Wrecking,
975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported a Vienna resident wrote
the business a bad check for $483.75 on 14 Aug 04. This case
remains under investigation (8411).
On 30 Sep 04 a forty-nine year old Vincent
resident reported since the beginning of September he/she has
been receiving harassing hang up phone calls. This case remains
under investigation (1203).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Scott W. Foraker, age 44, 836 Pike Street
Apt. 4, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation
by failing to keep in contact with his probation officer and
for failing to complete court ordered counseling.
Carl J. Sealey, age 57, PO Box 326, Vincent,
for failing to complete an assets and liabilities form and
for failing to
appear for a contempt hearing on 15 Sep 04.
James A. Cooper, age 19, 136 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for violating
the terms of his probation by failing to keep in contact with
his probation officer and for failing to show proof of restitution
as ordered by the court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Glen Ray Hardie Sr., age 35, 6035 Mack View
Drive, Fairfield, OH, for contempt of a court order, a felony.
Hardie turned himself in to Corrections Officer Carr and was
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 04 at 10:25
am.
Argle Francis Mayle II, age 43, 1206 Drag Strip Road, Belpre,
for violating a court ordered protection order, a misdemeanor.
Mayle was arrested on Drag Strip Road by Deputy Sheriff Gherke
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 04
at 4:40 pm.
Jeremy Gerald McCoy, age 29, 2160 Christy Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. McCoy
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Sep 04 at 4:45
pm.
Dale David Goddard Jr., age 38, 29530 State Route 565, Lower
Salem, for contempt of a court order and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Goddard was picked up at the Noble County Jail in Caldwell
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Sep 04 at 5:25 pm.
Charles Andrew Barnhart, age 56, 52419 Edenridge Road, Reedsville,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Barnhart was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Sep 04 at 8:00 pm.
