On 26 Sep 04 a twenty-nine year old Belpre
resident reported her sixteen year old sister, who she is guardian
of, left their residence late Saturday night and had yet to
return. The juvenile was later located at a friend’s
residence in Belpre and summonses to Juvenile Court for being
unruly (1203).
On 26 Sep 04 Kevin Straight, age 45, Route
2 Box 248A, New Martinsville, WV, reported while he was working
in a log yard along State Route 7 in Newport, his 2003 Chevy
truck went missing. This case remains under investigation (107).
On 26 Sep 04 Samuel K. Greenwood, age 26,
19 Milltown Road, Newport, reported he recovered an engine
stand originally stolen from his residence in March of this
year. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 26 Sep 04 Suzanne E. Ward, age 39, PO Box
117 Merchant Street, Newport, reported her Jeep along with
a school bus and a Dodge Ram were spray painted with profanities
while parked at Newport Elementary School between 10 pm on
25 Sep and 9:30 am on 26 Sep. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 26 Sep 04 John O’Brien, age 49, 96
Main Street, Lower Salem, reported a total of twenty-four tires
on numerous vehicles were slashed while parked in the Warner
area the previous evening. This case remains under investigation
(684).
On 26 Sep 04 Tammy Mayle, age 41, 1206 Drag
Strip Road, Belpre, reported when she arrived home from church
that morning her husband Argle, age 43, was there in violation
of a protection order. In consequence, Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier
requested a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Mayle for violating
the protection order.
On 26 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to a domestic violence complaint at 1085 Lynch Church Road
in Marietta. Chloe R. Underwood, age 31, stated approximately
a week and a half ago she and her husband Michael, age 31,
were arguing when he hit her with his fist, dragged her across
the floor and threatened to beat her. During the past week
Mrs. Underwood stated she was also in fear for her safety as
a result of further physical and verbal abuse by her husband.
In consequence Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Underwood for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail
where he is being held without bond due to threats made toward
Mrs. Underwood’s brother.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Dale Dalrymple, age 27, 20939 179th
Street, Tonganoxie, KS, OVI, driving left of center, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for
being a repeat traffic offender, all misdemeanors. Dalrymple
was arrested on State Route 7 in Reno by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26
Sep 04 at 12:41 pm.
Ronald Scott Foss, age 33, 104 Fourth Street, Beverly, for
OVI, driving under a suspended license and for driving outside
the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Foss was arrested
on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 04 at 2:30 am.
Amanda Marie Chestnut, age 37, 705 Fountain Square Apt. 5,
Zanesville, for OVI, driving under an OVI suspended license,
criminal damaging/endangering and for consuming alcohol in
a vehicle, all misdemeanors. Chestnut was arrested on Washington
Boulevard in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Sep 04 at 6:15 am.
John J. Hall, age 22, 1327 ½ Avery Street, Parkersburg,
a military deserter, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested on State
Route 7 by Patrolman Smeeks of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 04
at 5:35 pm.
