On 25 Sep 04 Megan Hall, age 32, 10 Browns
Road, Marietta, reported on two occasions during the past two
days her husband Timothy A. Hall, age 32, 17941 State Route
550, Marietta, has threatened her over the phone, in violation
of a court ordered protection order. Accordingly, Deputy Sheriff
Malone requested a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Hall for violating
the protection order.
On 25 Sep 04 James J. Shook, age 84, 1612
Hill Street Apt. C, Belpre, reported after staying with an
acquaintance for a few days ten days ago, he discovered two
gold wedding rings, a Masonic ring, a can opener, a toaster
and several other household items were missing. This case remains
under investigation (597).
On 25 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriffs Evans and Spencer
responded to a frantic distress call received via the Belpre
Police Department. When they arrived at 2720 Beach Drive, Belpre,
Brenda L. Daily, age 25, informed them her live-in boyfriend
James D. Johnson, age 34, was going crazy and needed calmed
down. Ms. Daily further elaborated an argument escalated into
a brouhaha. During the quarrel Mr. Johnson pushed Ms. Daily
into a dresser, picked up a drawer and struck her in the head
with it. After being struck with the drawer Ms. Daily fell
through the closet doors onto the floor. Continuing to argue,
Ms. Dailey got back up and Mr. Johnson began choking her before
being struck in the head with part of the broken drawer. While
searching Mr. Johnson prior to his arrest for domestic violence
Deputy Evans found a baggie containing ten Vicodin pills in
his pocket resulting in an additional charge of possession
of drugs. Deputy Evans then transported Mr. Johnson to the
Washington County Jail where he is being held without bond.
On 25 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans initiated
a traffic stop on State Route 7 near Township Road 97 in Belpre
Township after observing the vehicle he was following swerve
in and out of its lane and then left of the centerline. Upon
speaking with the driver, John Joseph Hile, age 55, 2765 Burnett
Road, Cutler, Deputy Evans noticed an odor of alcohol and requested
he submit to field sobriety tests, on which Mr. Hile performed
poorly. Based on his observations Deputy Evans arrested Mr.
Hile for OVI and for driving left of center and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
John Joseph Hile, age 55, 2765 Burnett Road,
Cutler, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors.
Hile was arrested on US 50 by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 04 at 2:00 am.
Michael Lee Roux, age 33, 26119 State Route 7 Lot B, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Roux was arrested at his residence by
Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 25 Sep 04 at 2:30 am.
James David Johnson, age 34, 2720 Beech Drive Lot 1, Belpre,
for domestic violence and for possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.
Johnson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 04
at 4:30 am.
Mark Edward Hoover, age 39, 129 ½ Spring Street, Marietta,
for driving under an OVI suspended license and for having fictitious
plates, both misdemeanors. Hoover was arrested at the intersection
of Fifth and Scammel Streets in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25
Sep 04 at 2:55 pm.
Heather Elaine Carpenter, age 28, 160 Henrie Lane Apt. BB,
Williamstown, for assault, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested
at Speedway in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 04 at 5:45
pm.
Charles Michael Biehl, age 41, 600 Tick Hill Road, Lowell,
for violating the terms of his probation and for two counts
of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Biehl was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 25 Sep 04 at 6:20 pm.
