On 24 Sep 04 Kenneth F. Chidester, age 57,
470 Cornerville Road, Marietta, reported subsequent to an argument
with his live-in girlfriend, his girlfriend’s son and
his friend assaulted him. Mr. Chidester also alleges his girlfriend’s
son left with some of his prescription medication. This case
remains under investigation (296).
On 24 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans responded
to a residence in Vincent where a woman reported her fourteen
year old son locked himself in his room and cut himself several
times on the arms and leg. The parent transported the juvenile
to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
On 24 Sep 04 Brenda K. Murphy, age 41, PO Box
732 State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported between 6 pm and
10 pm that evening an unknown suspect(s) entered her father’s
home at 1870 Rinard Mills Road, stole a set of keys from the
living room and used them to steal her blue Toyota sedan parked
outside. This case remains under investigation (501).
On 24 Sep 04 a forty year old Belpre resident
reported her sixteen year old son stole and sold a Sony Playstation
2 from their home days two days prior and when confronted with
the theft, fled the residence. This case remains under investigation
(592).
On 24 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone fielded
a domestic violence complaint by Konda Wynn, age 38, 285 Wynnwood
Road, Marietta at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wynn stated
when she confronted her husband Neil, age 64, about his infidelities
the previous day, an argument ensued. Mr. Wynn smacked his
wife several times and kicked her in the right thigh. The brannigan
continued the next morning as Mr. Wynn threatened to shoot
Mrs. Wynn, grabbed her around the neck and forced her to the
ground. Mrs. Wynn was finally able to escape to receive treatment
for her injuries while Deputy Sheriff Evans arrested Mr. Wynn
at his residence and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
On 24 Sep 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded
to the scene of the death of an eighty-nine year old Marietta
woman. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no foul
play is suspected.
On 24 Sep 04 Jeffrey B. Headlee, age 46, 1685
Brackenridge Road, Vincent, reported an acquaintance made rude
comments and obscene gestures toward him, his girlfriend and
their child as they walked home from the Barlow Fair parade.
This case remains under investigation (232).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Raymond Neil Wynn, age 64, 285 Wynnwood Drive,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wynn was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 04 at 11:55 am.
James F. O’Brien, age 27, Green Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. O’Brien
was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 04
at 2:05 pm.
Jodi Lynn Schofield, age 23, 220 Sixth Street Apt. B, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Schofield
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 04 at 3:15
pm.
Jason Lee Strickler, age 25, 230 Milltown Road, Newport, for
vehicular assault, a felony. Strickler was picked up at the
Noble County Correctional Facility in Caldwell by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 24 Sep 04 at 3:30 pm.
Daniel Preston Edwards, age 34, 16890 State Route 550, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Edwards
was arrested at the Four Seasons in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 04 at 10:57 pm.
