On 9 Sep 04 an employee of A’s Dairy Bar, State Route 339, Belpre, reported the lock of a storage building was damaged in an apparent attempt to enter the building. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 9 Sep 04 Steven A. Dixon, age 46, 85 Belavista Drive, Marietta, reported more than a month after the seller cashed a check for the purchase of a book on Ebay, the seller has yet to send the book. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 9 Sep 04 Brandon E. Allen, age 38, 12740 State Route 676, Watertown, reported witnessing the driver of a black GMC Jimmy spinning its tires and doing donuts in the grass at the Watertown Township Park. The seventeen year old suspect, with his mother’s permission, answered Sgt. Jobes’ questions, admitting to doing donuts and also that he was driving with a learner’s permit unaccompanied by a licensed driver. Accordingly, Sgt. Jobes requested a summons for the juvenile to appear in Juvenile Court.

On 9 Sep 04 Robert S. Lemasters, age 34, 15368 Muskingum River Road, Waterford, reported while away from his residence over Labor Day weekend, an unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole a Sony Playstation 2 and a gold watch. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 9 Sep 04 Stephanie Slater, age 31, 45977 State Route 821, Caldwell, reported the front license plate, numbered EL41HY, was either stolen or lost while she visited Watertown between 9 pm Wednesday night and 1 pm Thursday afternoon. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 9 Sep 04 Deputies responded to the scene of the death of a forty-five year old Marietta man. Foul play is not suspected though the case remains under investigation pending the results of an autopsy (200, 501, 792).

On 9 Sep 04 Roger Smith, age 64, 12893 State Route 555, Bartlett, reported four street signs in the vicinity of Whealdon Road were stolen during the past two days. Two of the signs were later located in a cornfield in Wesley Township. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 9 Sep 04 Jim Palmer, age 65, 871 Warren Chapel Road, Fleming, reported between 9:30 Wednesday evening and 2 Thursday afternoon, an unknown suspect(s) damaged two metal mailboxes and a latch on a on barn door on his property. This case remains under investigation (1090).

Ruby May Buffington, age 22, 36796 Hill Street, Lower Salem, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $123.50.

Ronald L. Hornbeck, age 32, 1618 Pike Street, Parkersburg, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $265.85.

Randall N. Kemp, age 48, 1559 Hickory Street, Zanesville, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $912.60.

Paul I. Longanecker, 80 Hannah Place, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $247.

Chico M. Mason, age 29, 20 Browns Lane, Newport, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $149.50.

Charles E. Mollohan, age 34, 2910 Providence Church Road, Hedgesville, WV, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $240.50.

Curtis S. Nickell, age 20, 7577 Shartz Road, Springboro, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $299.

James W. Quillen, age 59, 523 Sunnybrook Drive, Franklin, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $299.

James W. Quillen III, age 19, 523 Sunnybrook Drive, Franklin, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $299.

Michael A. Seevers, age 21, 13120 State Route 676, Waterford, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,025.31.

Brian E. Sturm, age 36, 37321 State Route 145, Lower Salem, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $323.70.

Teresa G. Wise, age 33, 26127 State Route 7 Lot F, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,096.55.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Randall McRae Styer, age 48, Route 1 Box 162, Reno, for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony. Styer was picked up at the Leflore County Jail in Poteau, OK, by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 04 at 2:30 am.

Richard Dean Bailey, age 48, PO Box 138, Marietta, for two misdemeanor charges of failure to appear. Bailey was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 04 at 3:00 am.

Charles William Baker III, age 32, 435 Francis Road, Lowell, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Baker was arrested at the Colegate Food Center by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Sep 04 at 2:45 pm.
