On 6 Sep 04 Rodney Lord, age 45, 320 Hartline Road, Whipple, reported between 8 pm Saturday night and 11 am Monday morning an unknown suspect stole a blue go-kart with 3.5 horsepower engine from his residence. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 6 Sep 04 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to the scene of a domestic dispute at 2030 Moody Ridge Road in Vincent. After being berated by his stepfather Ty Walker, age 34, Joshua P. Martini, age 18, stated he packed his clothing and was leaving their residence when Mr. Walker grabbed him by the neck, punched and slapped him several times. Mr. Walker then punched his stepson in the left side of his face and pushed him out the door, throwing his clothes out behind him. Based on their investigation, Deputy Simmons arrested Mr. Walker for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 6 Sep 04 Norma P. Bennett, age 67, 130 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, reported the green 911 address sign was stolen from her mailbox between 2 and 6 Sep. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 6 Sep 04 Minnie L. Lilley, age 67, 202 Walnut Street, Lowell, reported a neighbor assaulted her during a dispute over a debt owed to her. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 6 Sep 04 Christopher Gold, age 34, 3019 Raymond Street NW, Uniontown, OH, reported while his daughter was swimming in the river near the old locks in Beavertown, she found a .38 caliber handgun. Deputy Sheriff Norman took possession of the weapon as evidence for safekeeping.

On 6 Sep 04 Helena Riggs, age 30, 3425 State Route 530, Lowell, reported her husband threw a snuff can and hit their seven-year-old daughter. An investigation by Deputy Sheriff Gherke concluded the daughter was struck inadvertently.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kathy Renee Harner, age 35, 2005 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, for breach of recognizance and for theft, both misdemeanors. Harner was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 04 at 2:00 pm.

Ty Ron Walker, age 34, 2030 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Walker was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 04 at 7:30 pm.
