On 1 Sep 04 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes were dispatched to 423 Schwendeman Hill Road, Lowell,
in response to a domestic dispute. An altercation erupted from
an argument after Daniel L. Thompson’s fifteen year old
step-daughter refused to stop using the computer and go to
her room when asked. As Mr. Thompson attempted to push his
step-daughter into her room, her mother Tira S. Thompson, age
41, intervened. Mrs. Thompson stated she stepped between her
daughter and husband and at that time her husband punched her
in the left side of her face, dislodging her glasses. The fifteen
year old also suffered a strike to the face while attempting
to free her mother from the melee. Based on their investigation,
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested Mr. Thompson for two counts
of domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail where he was released on a personal recognizance
bond.
On 1 Sep 04 Julie R. Myers, age 36, 315 King
Avenue, Bartlett, reported her ex-boyfriend, against whom she
has a protection order, entered the Bartlett Corner Store knowing
full well she was inside the business. This case remains under
investigation (200).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Robert E. Carpenter, age 30, 2020 Bear Run
Road, Reno, for breaking and entering into a storage building
and for the theft of two fishing poles from said building on
1 Jul 04.
Timothy A. Hall, age 32, 10 Browns Road Apt. 2B, Marietta,
for felony domestic violence.
Patricia A. Jones, age 27, 321 Sixth Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license on 2 Aug 04.
Laura A. Ledger, age 37, 3129 West 46th street, Cleveland,
for violating the terms of her probation by failing to obtain
a valid driver’s license or to appear to serve twenty-three
days in jail on 16 Apr 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kelly Jean Curran, age 32, 224 Broughton Avenue,
Marietta, for OVI, operating without a license and for driving
upon the left side of the road, all misdemeanors. Curran was
arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
1 Sep 04 at 1:30 am.
Dennis Ray Oakley, age 23, 424 Third Street
Apt. 4, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms
of a court ordered protection order and misdemeanor charges
of violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Oakley was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Douglas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 1 Sep 04 at 1:00 pm.
Jason Edward Voshel, age 24, 106 Lincoln Circle, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Voshel was
arrested at Bill’s Auto Salvage by Patrolman Ellenwood
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 04 at 2:15 pm.
Larry Joe Wilson, age 42, 717 Greene Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for possession of drug paraphernalia and for disorderly conduct
by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Wilson was arrested in
Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hearn of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 1 Sep 04 at 4:30 pm.
Daniel Lee Thompson, age 50, 423 Schwendeman Hill Road, Lowell,
for two counts of domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Thompson
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 04 at 9:02
pm.
Darin Andrew Marasco, age 38, 106 Colonial Square Apt. D,
Belpre, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Marasco was arrested
in Belpre by Patrolman Smeeks of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Sep 04 at
10:23 pm.
