On 28 Aug 04 an employee of Par Mar #2 on State Route 550 in Barlow reported a small green vehicle drove off without paying ten dollars for 5.2 gallons of gasoline. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 28 Aug 04 an employee of Byer’s Exxon at 26960 State Route 7, Marietta, reported a money bag, containing an undisclosed amount of cash, was stolen from the store’s locked safe between 4 pm Friday afternoon and 9 am Saturday morning. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 28 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded to the report of the death of a sixty-six year old Little Hocking resident. The death appears to be due to natural causes, no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Angela Diane Ward, age 39, 3725 Bells Run Road, Newport, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Ward was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 04 at 10:30 am.

John Charles Flinn, age 36, 305-3 Lee Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Flinn was arrested at Pennzoil in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 04 at 1:35 pm.
