On 23 Aug 04 an employee of the Pit Stop, 3355 State Route 821, Marietta, reported when she arrived to open the store at 5 am that morning, she discovered an unknown suspect(s) damaged a cooler at the rear of the store and gained entry. This case remains under investigation (1184, 592, 953).

On 23 Aug 04 a member of the Full Gospel Temple Church on State Route 555 in Vincent reported an electric box was stolen off a temporary power pole outside the church between 8 pm Sunday night and 9 am Monday morning. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 23 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded to a home in Vincent where a resident took a number of pills in an attempt to harm herself. The twenty-seven year old’s boyfriend transported her to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Stephen E. Moss, age 28, 1435 Browns Road, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause.

Jodi L. Schofield, age 23, 104 Wooster Street, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $731.31.

John Flinn, age 36, 509 Aurora Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to file and/or pay city income taxes or to appear to serve ten days in jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John J. Sparks, age 32, 790 Glendale Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Sparks was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Aug 04 at 12:55 am.

Aaron Robert Fulton, age 18, 510 Smith Street, Marietta, for the underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Fulton was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Aug 04 at 2:50 am.
