On 22 Aug 04 Detective Schuck began an investigation into the apparent suicide of a forty-five year old Lower Salem resident (296).

On 22 Aug 04 an employee of Oxbow Golf Course, 500 St. Andrews Boulevard, Belpre, reported between Friday and Sunday afternoons, six golf carts were damaged. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 22 Aug 04 Darrell A. Farnese, age 35, 114 North Main Street, Summerfield, OH, reported a family member allegedly stole and forged a check to purchase items at Farm Fresh in Reno. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Roland Scott Foss, age 33, 104 Fourth Street, Beverly, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Foss was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Aug 04 at 2:55 am.

Kenneth Edward Barlow, age 24, 114 Shady Lane, Marietta, for .17 breath OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Barlow was arrested on County House Lane near Mount Tom Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Aug 04 at 5:00 am.

Gene D. Craig, age 31, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for assault, breach of recognizance and for three counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Craig was arrested in Lowell by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Aug 04 at 6:46 pm.
