On 20 Aug 04 an employee of the Village Market
at 4050 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, reported receiving
a bad check for $48.33 on 5 Dec 03. This case remains under
investigation (8411).
On 20 Aug 04 an employee of Washington County
reported receiving a number of harassing phone calls during
the past two days. This case remains under investigation (945).
On 20 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke investigated
a fight between two inmates at the Washington County Jail.
Deputy Gherke deduced that Matthew Z. Smith, age 18, was lying
on the floor watching television when Eric D. Moore, age 25,
approached him and struck him in the head twice with a closed
fist. As a result, Deputy Gherke served Mr. Moore with charges
for assault.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jennifer Ann Rockwell, age 23, 27196 State Route
724, Summerfield, OH, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
Rockwell was arrested on State Route 60 by Patrolman Sury of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 04 at 5:38 am.
Jeffrey Tyler Cargill, age 34, 2808 Wingate
Avenue, Akron, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Cargill was picked up at the
Noble County Correctional Facility in Caldwell by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Aug 04 at 11:05 am.
Kristofer Robert Layne Eye, age 20, 10895 Dalzell Road, Lower
Salem, for gross sexual imposition, a felony. Eye was arrested
at his residence by Detective Schuck of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Aug 04 at 11:20 am.
Derek Alan Byington, age 24, 356 Williams Road, Wilmington,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Byington was picked up at the Clinton County Jail by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Aug 04 at 5:00 pm.
Elisha Michael Amos, age 22, 1002 Washington Boulevard Apt.
8, Belpre, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Amos was
arrested in Belpre by the Belpre City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 04 at 11:25
pm.
