On 18 Aug 04 Jeffrey W. Boswell, age 39, 109
Pine Drive, Little Hocking, reported after slumbering the night,
he awoke to discover an oily substance smeared on several windows
of his Pontiac Grand Am and derogatory statements written in
marker on the driver’s side rear quarter panel. This
case remains under investigation (232).
On 18 Aug 04 a resident on Warren Chapel Road
reported finding two cannabis sativa plants on his property.
Detective Warden confiscated the plants for further investigation.
On 18 Aug 04 a forty-five year old Cutler
resident reported she and her daughter have been receiving
harassing phone calls for the past two weeks. This case remains
under investigation (945).
On 18 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman was dispatched
to the home of Tracie Newlen, age 30, 310 Main Street, New
Matamoras, in reference to a domestic dispute. Ms. Newlen informed
Deputy Norman when her soon to be ex-husband Terry, age 32,
1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 4C, New Matamoras, came to her
residence to pick up their son, he entered her residence without
permission and discovered she was speaking to his brother on
the telephone. Mr. Newlen hung up the phone, lunged at Ms.
Newlen and bit her neck as he pinned her to the bed. Ms. Newlen
pushed her husband off her and he commenced scratching his
wife’s arms as she escaped. Determining Ms. Newlen was
in fear for her safety, Deputy Norman arrested Mr. Newlen for
domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County
Jail.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jon C. Preston, age 43, 21 Front Street, Marietta,
for failing to appear to serve forty-five days in jail on 12
Aug 04.
Richard Morgan, age 44, Grundy, VA, for failing to appear
to serve two days in jail on 12 Aug 04.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Danny Lee Cremeans, age 50, 83 Veto Road,
Little Hocking, for two counts of breaking and entering and
two counts of the illegal cultivation of marijuana, all felonies.
Cremeans was arrested on Veto Road by Detective Warden of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 04 at 7:15 pm.
Leroy Gerald Everett Best, age 22, 306 Putnam Avenue, Marietta,
for two counts of assault, both misdemeanors. Best was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Hearn of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
18 Aug 04 at 7:30 pm.
Jerry Wayne Seabolt, age 33, 623 33rd Street, Parkersburg,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Seabolt was arrested
on Walnut Street in Belpre by Patrolman Sams of the Belpre
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 18 Aug 04 at 10:45 pm.
