On 15 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a citation to a sixteen year old Vincent resident for traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Rhodes stopped the juvenile at mile post six on State Route 339 in Barlow Township.

On 15 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued a citation to Samuel C. Kelly, age 27, 460 Coal Run Drive, Coal Run, for operating without a license. After a computer check of Mr. Kelly’s license status, Deputy Norman initiated the traffic stop on State Route 60 near State Route 560 in Adams Township.

On 15 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Rhonda R. Arendt, age 30, 1834 Narragansett Boulevard, Lorain, OH, for traveling 78 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Ms. Arendt on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.

On 15 Aug 04 a forty-six year old Marietta resident reported her fourteen year old daughter constantly lies about her whereabouts and refuses to obey house rules. Coupled with witnessing the juvenile’s demeanor and testimony of her mother, Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons for the teenager to appear in juvenile court for being unruly.

On 15 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff responded to a home in Marietta where a twenty-one year old Marietta man attempted to hang himself. The individual was saved by family members then transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On 15 Aug 04 Olive Bonar, age 67, 4625 Veto Road, Vincent, reported within the last week, her grandson’s Honda TRX250 ATV was stolen from her property. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 15 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes filed a report documenting the death of a twenty-three year old Lowell man due to a traffic crash. The crash occurred between mile posts fourteen and fifteen on Waterford Road in Waterford.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Judy Edith Riddlebaugh, age 39, 2467 Graham Road, Cutler, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Riddlebaugh was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 04 at 7:45 pm.

Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 31, 266 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for receiving stolen property, for breach of recognizance and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 04 at 9:05 pm.
