On 14 Aug 04 Mary E. Francis, age 41, 761
Mount Tom Road, reported two acquaintances that stayed with
her for several days allegedly stole over $1,000 in cash, two
articles of jewelry valued at $3,000 and other miscellaneous
items. This case remains under investigation (698).
On 14 Aug 04 Bryan R. Babcock, age 22, 8245
State Route 550, Vincent, reported after a brief confrontation
with an acquaintance inside the Station Carryout, the acquaintance
allegedly slashed both driver’s side tires of his Chevy
Blazer. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 14 Aug 04 Sgt. Underwood was dispatched
to a home in Belpre in response to a domestic dispute between
a thirty-one year old woman and her fourteen year old son.
As the mother questioned her son about his whereabouts the
previous evening, her son became irate and began cursing at
his mother. In return his mother slapped him in the mouth.
The juvenile then lunged at his mother, pinned her by the wrists
against the refrigerator and after releasing his grip through
a phone at her, narrowly missing. The two fell to floor as
the scuffle continued causing the mother to hit her head on
the tile floor. As a result of his investigation, Sgt. Underwood
arrested the juvenile and transported him to the Washington
County Juvenile Center.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshua Michael Clark, age 21, 36443 Peach
Fork Road, Pomeroy, OH, for .17 breath OVI and for speeding,
both misdemeanors. Clark was arrested on State Route 7 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Aug 04 at 5:30 pm.
Brent David Hescht, age 18, 388 Ross Road, Little Hocking,
for speeding and for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Hescht was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Aug 04 at 9:00 pm.
