On 11 Aug 04 an employee of Myer’s Store,
20533 State Route 26, Wingett Run, reported receiving bad checks
for $14.62 on 25 May 04 and for $27.17 on 26 Jul 04. These
cases remain under investigation (8411).
After finding an empty package of four AA
batteries at White Oak Pharmacy, 8465 State Route 339, Vincent,
on 11 Aug 04, the store’s manager reviewed the tape
of a security camera and observed an unidentified white male
open
the package, place the batteries in his pocket and leave
the store without paying for the items. This case remains
under
investigation (945).
On 11 Aug 04 Judy McConnell, age 28, 1190
Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, reported a neighbor was standing
on an adjacent property flailing her arms and screaming threats
causing a disturbance. This case remains under investigation
(945).
On 11 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Winstanley responded
to a house fire at 198 Reynolds Lane in Vincent. The residents
and their pets escaped unharmed but the residence was deemed
a total loss. Believed to have started by a lighted candle,
the Barlow and Wesley Volunteer Fire Departments extinguished
the blaze.
On 11 Aug 04 an employee of Hilltop Auto,
975 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported when she arrived at
work that morning several office doors and drawers were open
and three after market CD players, a personal checkbook and
a gold plated Zippo tape measure were missing from the business.
This case remains under investigation (945).
On 11 Aug 04 Patsy J. Baker, age 49, 466 Muskingum
Drive, Marietta, reported when she returned home after a week
in Cleveland she discovered her Yamaha RT100 dirt bike missing
from the yard of her residence. This case remains under investigation
(1091).
On 11 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins responded
to a domestic violence complaint at 911 Park Avenue in New
Matamoras. Robin Knowlton, age 38, stated after an argument
over a cellular phone with her husband, Richard, age 50, slammed
a door shut on her arm then threw her to the floor and choked
her until she almost stopped breathing. Confirming Mrs. Knowlton’s
account with a witness, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Knowlton
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 11 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Wells began investigation
into the damaging of mailboxes and upsetting of trash cans
along State Route 676 and County Road 126.
On 11 Aug 04 Payton Newellen, 50 Orndoff Road,
Stockport, reported a neighbor’s child came to his residence
stating his parents were involved in an argument. Speaking
with the parties involved, Deputy Sheriff Wells determined
no threats or acts of violence transpired.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Delwyn Keith Johnson, age 26, 2926 Sente Lane,
Columbus, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Johnson was picked up in Franklin
County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Aug 04 at 2:00 pm.
Timothy Scott Mackey, age 23, 1247 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Mackey was picked up in Athens by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 11 Aug 04 at 3:15 pm.
Richard Keith Knowlton, age 50, 911 Park Avenue, New Matamoras,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Knowlton was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Aug 04 at 5:00 pm.
Anthony Eugene Boswell, age 23, 709 Wayne Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Boswell was arrested on the west side of Marietta by Patrolman
Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Aug 04 at 11:14 pm.
