On 10 Aug 04 Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier was
dispatched to Sponey’s IGA on State Route 60 in Beverly
in response to a theft complaint. Upon his arrival the store’s
manager informed Deputy Brockmeier he witnessed a customer
leave the store without paying for two packs of cigarettes
he had in his front pocket. When questioned, Robert S. Vaughn,
age 27, 204 Seventh Street, Beverly, admitted taking the cigarettes
and duly issued a summons to appear in court for theft.
The evening of 10 Aug 04 Kimberly J. Coe,
age 44, 95 Veto Circle, Belpre, reported her eighty-three year
old father left his residence a half hour prior and his whereabouts
were unknown. The gentleman was later located by a family member
in Athens County and returned to his residence (490).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Marcus N. Johnson, age 23, 31 Union Street,
Springfield, MA, for the possession of marijuana, a Schedule
I controlled substance, on 29 Jul 04.
Roy D. McElfresh, age 20, 606 Elm Street, Belpre,
for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing
on an order to show cause on 26 Jul 04.
Carleton W. Sparks Sr., age 44, 313 Harmar
Street, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court
ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 2 Aug 04.
Justin A. Tucker, age 22, 205 Putnam Street,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines on 21 Jan 04.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Lee Oliver, age 21, 136 ½ Warner
Street Apt. 3, Marietta, for failure to pay income tax, penalties
or interest, a misdemeanor. Oliver was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Aug 04 at
12:21 am.
Gregory James Michael, age 25, 114 Oakview
Drive Apt. 10, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Michael was arrested at Advance Auto in Marietta
by Patrolman Titus of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Aug 04 at 1:11
am.
Shaun Wesley Sturm, age 19, 100 Cisler Lane,
Marietta, for the underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Sturm was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 10 Aug 04 at 12:05 pm.
