On 16 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke responded to the home of a forty-six year old Whipple resident who threatened to harm himself. The individual was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation (690).

On 16 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched to the scene of a farming accident on Hickman Road in Waterford. Upon his arrival Deputy Evans learned as the homes resident and a neighbor bailed hay, the hay wagon capsized, hurling the men off the wagon. The Barlow Volunteer Fire Department transported both men to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On 16 Jul 04 Nicole A. Elliott, age 26, 311 Main Street, Belmont, WV, reported after paying for two items at a Friendly Home and Home and Garden parties in November of last year, the hostess has neglected to acquire the items. This case remains under investigation (792).

On 16 Jul 04 an employee of Riverview Calibration Services reported between 8 and 16 Jul an unknown suspect(s) stole a set of high value calibration tools from a vehicle while parked in his driveway at 5706 Veto Road in Belpre. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 16 Jul 04 the parents of a fifteen year old girl and a fourteen year old boy reported they are repeatedly having problems with their children sneaking out of the house and consuming alcohol. As a result of further investigation, Deputy Sheriff Gherke requested summonses for the juveniles to appear in Juvenile Court on charges of being unruly.

On 16 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Huck investigated a two vehicle collision in the parking lot in front of the four hundred building of Jefferson Square Apartments. Michael A. Trent, age 34, 126 Ward Street, Marietta, was attempting to park a Dodge Ram owned by N & W Sealing and while backing, struck the passenger side door of a Ford Probe owned by Bobby L. Roseberry, 4500 County Road 9, Marietta, causing light damage.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Allen Wilson, age 18, 136 Dawes Circle, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 1:35 am.

Travis Eugene Sparks, age 21, 809 ½ Front Street, Marietta, for aggravated assault, a felony. Sparks was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 3:15 am.

John Storey McFarland, age 32, 1123 Ann Street, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. McFarland was arrested at mile post nineteen on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 3:30 am.

William Lee Mossburg, age 34, 1429 Washington Avenue, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. McFarland was arrested at mile post eighteen on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 3:30 am.

Rickie Ronald Sergent II, age 18, 77 Quarry Street, Marietta, for two counts of felonious assault. Sergent was arrested in Marietta by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 3:35 am.

Paul Alan Lincoln, age 39, 209 Elm Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Lincoln was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hawkins of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 4:00 am.

David Anthony Lincoln, age 20, 729 Ninth Street, Marietta, for two counts of felonious assault. Lincoln was arrested in Marietta by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 6:35 am.

Shun Wendell Franklin, age 35, 208 Wooster Street, Marietta, for forgery, theft, and receiving stolen property, all felonies. Franklin was picked up in Morgan County by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 3:45 pm.

Louis Roe Cavillis, age 33, 116 Harmar Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Cavillis was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Mitchell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jul 04 at 9:00 pm.
