On 14 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded to 820 Mill Branch Road in Belpre after the home’s resident Bill Rhodes, age 39, reported he was accidentally stabbed by his wife. Mr. Rhodes and his wife concur that as she was slicing strips of beef jerky, the knife slipped and she inadvertently impale her husband in the side of his torso. The Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department transported Mr. Rhodes to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injury. This incident remains under investigation.

On 14 Jul 04 a forty-seven year old Little Hocking resident reported he has been receiving harassing phone calls for the past month. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 14 Jul 04 Detective Jenkins issued a citation to Rae Ann Stollar, age 50, 1340 Niceswanger Road, Stockport, for driving under a suspended license and for failing to stop at a stop sign. Detective Jenkins stopped Ms. Stollar after she failed to stop when turning from County Road 197 on to State Route 676 in Wesley Township.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

David A. Bayless, age 28, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 2 Jul 04.

Kraig E. Brand, age 45, 43139 Kraig Road, New Matamoras, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 28 Jun 04.

Larry R. Eddleblute, age 62, PO Box 83, Coal Run, for failure to confine or restrain a dog.

Terry L. Hagan, age 41, 28 Toms Fork Road, Summersville, WV, for possession of less than one hundred grams of marijuana and for traveling 106 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 77 on 13 May 04.

Lloyd E. Lauderman, age 50, Box 4282 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause.

April D. Cline, age 29, last known address 10290 State Route 550, Barlow, for two counts of passing bad checks.

Jason W. Ross, age 28, PO Box 64 Hill Street, Coal Run, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 18 Jun 04.

Gregory Pullins, age 20, 31513 Goff Road, Langsville, OH, for contempt for failing to make $1,000 restitution as ordered by the court.

John H. Mundt Jr., age 25, 260 Liberty UB Church Road, Wingett Run, for failing to appear to serve thirty-three days in jail on 26 Jun 04.

the following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Harold Mundt Jr., age 25, 260 Liberty UB Church Road, Wingett Run, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Mundt was arrested near the Noble County line by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 04 at 10:15 am.

Joshua Lee Elwood Bungard, age 21, 2409 Ohio Street, Moundsville, WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bungard was picked up in Moundsville by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 04 at 12:50 pm.

Rae Ann Stollar, age 50, 1340 Niceswanger, Stockport, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, driving under a suspended license and failure to obey the right of way, all misdemeanors. Stollar was arrested on State Route 676 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 04 at 2:25 pm.
