On 13 Jul 04 Sean D. Wainwright, age 19, Box 229 Main Street, Waterford, reported his wallet was stolen from inside his truck while parked outside the American Legion in Beverly between 10 and 10:30 pm the previous evening. After closing his bank account an unknown suspect attempted to make a substantial monetary withdrawal but was rebuffed by bank employees. This case remains under investigation (792).

On 13 Jul 04 a forty-seven year old Marietta man reported his brother-in-law assaulted his fifteen year old daughter over Mother’s Day weekend in 2003. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 13 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman responded to a domestic violence call on Brandy Drive in Marietta. The home’s forty-five year old resident informed Deputy Norman she was assaulted by her seventeen year old son. The mother stated her son flew into a fit of rage after being asked to turn the television down, grabbed her wrists and held her down. Deputy Norman confirmed the mother’s account with her twelve year old daughter, arrested the seventeen year old for being delinquent and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile Center.

On 13 Jul 04 April C. Nelson, age 30, PO Box 88, Palestine, WV, reported between 4 and 5 pm the previous day, an unknown suspect entered her home at 9030 State Route 555 in Cutler and stole a VCR, half a case of Bud Light, a bag of men’s clothing, a bag of children’s clothing, a hanging picture and her pet beagle. This case remains under investigation (1183).

On 13 Jul 04 Larry R. Kennedy Jr., age 33, 3883 Two Mile Road, Cutler, reported between 11 pm Monday and 6:30 am Wednesday, an unknown suspect(s) broke a window on his truck, damaged the ignition switch, cut the driver’s seat, stole five dollars in quarters from the ash tray and poured sugar in the gas tank. This case remains under investigation (490).

On 13 Jul 04 Sgt. Underwood began an investigation into the illegal conveyance of drugs into the Washington County Jail after substances believed to be marijuana and Xanax were confiscated from an inmate.

On 13 Jul 04 a resident on Moody Ridge Road in Vincent reported her neighbor has exposed himself to her on several different occasions. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 13 Jul 04 Susan D. Harmon, age 36, 1104 Oak Hill Road, Vincent, reported between 1 Jun and 9 Jul, an unknown suspect obtained her personal information and used it to access her bank account. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 13 Jul 04 Angela C. Harguess, age 38, 2367 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, reported during the past year a family member may have stolen a VCR, a DirecTV box, a jig saw, a circular saw and a number of VHS tapes from their shared residence. This case remains under investigation (684).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Bruce Alan Casto, age 45, 505 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and misdemeanor charges of .17 breath OVI and driving under a suspended license. Casto was arrested at the Second Street Speedway by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jul 04 at 4:27 am.

Robyn Jane Clark, age 22, 7110 Buttermilk Hill, McConnellsville, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Clark was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jul 04 at 7:28 pm.
