On 11 Jul 04 the owner of Tri-Star Wholesale,
Inc., 196 Mill Creek Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect
forcibly entered the business and stole the keys to a Ford Ranger
parked outside. The truck was later located wrecked and stuck
in a ditch off State Route 550 near the Warren Volunteer Fire
Department. This case remains under investigation (1203).
On 11 Jul 04 a Decatur Township Trustee reported
several street signs and mailboxes were stolen from various
locations in the Cutler area. This case remains under investigation
(597).
On 11 Jul 04 Teresa A. Turner, age 32, 224
Coventry Road, Marietta, reported an acquaintance, against whom
she has a protection order, encroached said order on two occasions
over the weekend. This case remains under investigation (684).
On 11 Jul 04 Randy L. Babb, age 51, 604 Ferry
Street, Beverly, reported his GMC Sonoma was stolen between
12 and 6 am that morning. Deputy Sheriff Simmons later learned
Mr. Babb’s son took the truck without permission and abandoned
it on the roadside. This case remains under investigation.
On 11 Jul 04 Lawrence J. Malcolm, age 48, 355
Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, reported his ex-wife came to his
residence in an agitated state, began an argument and refused
to leave the residence. As she departed Mr. Malcolm’s
ex-wife also scratched the door of his Toyota Sequoia with a
key. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 11 Jun 04 an employee of Genie Trucking
Line, Inc., reported a white fifty-three foot box trailer belonging
to the company, along with its cargo was stolen from a parking
area at 3385 State Route 821, Marietta. This case remains under
investigation (500).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gerald Allen Smith, age 43, 390 Kennedy Road,
Cutler, for domestic violence, a felony. Smith was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 04 at 11:50 am.
Valarie Donna Mankins, age 44, 3719 Blue Knob
Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Mankins was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Jul 04 at 3:30 pm.
