On 10 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Matthew D. Hanes, age 26, 107 West Sacra Via,
Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy
Mankins issued Mr. Hanes the citation after being called to
the scene of a vehicle fire and checking the status of Mr. Hanes
license as the driver of the vehicle.
On 10 Jul 04 Deputy Mankins was called to the
scene of a vehicle fire on Tittle Road in Marietta. The driver
of a Dodge truck was off-roading when the vehicle overturned
and caught fire. The driver suffered minor injuries and this
case remains under investigation.
On 10 Jul 04 a thirty-five year old New Matamoras
woman reported she has been having ongoing problems with her
thirteen year old daughter and her daughter refused to return
home when requested earlier that evening. This case remains
under investigation (296).
On 10 Jul 04 an employee of Byer’s Exxon
at 26960 State Route 7, Marietta, reported a male suspect entered
the business and left with a case of Bud Light without paying
for it. Deputy Sheriff Gherke apprehended Jason H. Malone, age
26, 840 Pike Street Apt. 34, Marietta, who was identified by
witnesses as the perpetrator, charged him with theft and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 10 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a
citation to Marvin R. Ruble Jr., age 31, 313 Third Street, Beverly
for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Evans originally
stopped Mr. Ruble at mile post eight on State Route 60 in Muskingum
Township for having an inoperable license plate light.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Homer Malone, age 26, 840 Pike Street
Apt. 34, Marietta, for two counts of theft, assault, criminal
trespassing and breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Malone
was arrested in Reno by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 04 at 7:20 am.
Timothy Wesley Richards, age 50, Alderman Street
Lot 2, Marietta, for OVI, driving left of center and failure
to reinstate his operator’s license, all misdemeanors.
Richards was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 10 Jul 04 at 8:30 pm.
James Gavin Cawley, age 59, 305 Washington
Street Apt. 9, Marietta, for violating a court ordered protection
order, a misdemeanor. Cawley was arrested at the Second Street
Speedway by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 04 at
9:15 pm.
