On 9 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a
citation to Frederick G. McKitrick, age 22, 403 Maple Street,
Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy
Mankins stopped Mr. McKitrick on State Route 7 near County Road
25 in Newport Township.
On 9 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation
to Louis N. Sallon, age 30, 2775 Christy Road, Marietta, for
operating with license plates that expired on 12 Jun 04. Deputy
Evans stopped Mr. Sallon on Grove Street near Gilman Street
in Marietta.
On 9 July 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke was dispatched
to Marietta Memorial Hospital to interview the victim of a domestic
dispute. Eric C. Smith, age 20, 390 Kennedy Road, Cutler, stated
he and his family were visiting a friend’s residence in
Cutler when his father Gerald A. Smith, age 43, summoned him
to the side of the home and summarily punched him in the face.
Angered over the fact Eric made fun of his younger brother,
Gerald punched him five to seven more times with a closed fist.
As a result of his investigation Deputy Gherke requested a warrant
for Gerald Smith for felony domestic violence for having been
previously convicted of the offense in 1993. The warrant was
served and Smith was incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
On 9 Jul 04 a forty-nine year old Little Hocking
resident reported receiving an obscene call from a male caller
at 10 pm that evening. This case remains under investigation
(232).
On 9 Jul 04 Kim Allen, age 37, 159 Second Lane,
Belpre, reported an unknown suspect(s) entered her home between
1 and 1:30 pm on 7 Jul and stole a newly refilled prescription
bottle of Xanax. This case remains under investigation (586).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Gene D. Craig, age 30, 306 Colegate Drive,
Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on an order to show cause.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brenton Dean Metz, age 20, Marietta, for violating
the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Metz was arrested
at the office of Probation Officer Bosworth and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 9 Jul 04 at 4:10 pm.
Raymond Lee Scarborough, age 48, 126 Dean Street,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Scarborough turned
himself in at the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jul 04 at 5:50 pm.
Brad Lewis Parsons, age 22, 1010 ½ Poplar
Street, Belpre, for not wearing a seat belt and for driving
under an FRA suspended license, both misdemeanors. Parsons was
arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jul 04 at 6:00
pm.
Jacob Anthony Minnich, age 20, 35 Cedar Street,
Flatwoods, WV, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Minnich
turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jul 04 at 8:00 pm.
Adam Dale Mason, age 20, 2100 Hill Street Apt.
G, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Mason was arrested on State
Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 9 Jul 04 at 10:20 pm.
