On 7 Jul 04 Deputy Sheriff Wells investigated
a single motorcycle accident believed to have occurred on 6
Jul 04. A motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Caywood Road
and while negotiating a turn four tenths of a mile north of
State Route 26, lost control and slid into an adjacent yard
causing no damage. The homeowner found the motorcycle though
the operator is not known at this time. This incident remains
under investigation.
On 7 Jul 04 a thirty-nine year old Vincent woman
reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls since
December of 2002. This case remains under investigation (684).
On 7 Jul 04 Tabitha Newlen, age 18, Parkway
Townhouses Apt. 1F, New Matamoras, reported two acquaintances
entered her home without permission and began a tirade of obscenities.
This case remains under investigation (697).
On 7 Jul 04 Lucinda Rauch, age 21, 1030 Michaelis
Road, Marietta, came to the Sheriff’s Office to report
the previous evening she was a victim of domestic violence.
Mrs. Rauch stated her husband Jason, age 24, grabbed her arm
and the back of her hair and forced her to hit the top of a
counter. Mr. Rauch continued to make threats causing Mrs. Rauch
to be in fear for her safety. Deputy Sheriff Malone along with
Lt. Huffer located Mr. Rauch at his residence, arrested him
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Leroy Mantz, age 62, Marietta, for resisting
arrest and disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors.
Mantz was arrested on Broughton Avenue in Marietta by Patrolman
Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 04 at 5:45 am.
Jason Allen Rauch, age 24, 4200 Huck Road, Lowell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Rauch was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 7 Jul 04 at 5:30 pm.
