On 6 Jul 04 Berk T. Reed, age 44, Box 44, Glenville, WV, reported between 6 and 8 pm Tuesday an unknown suspect(s) stole a five gallon gas can from and scratched the tailgate of his Dodge Ram while it was parked at the Landings Campground on State Route 7 in Marietta. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 6 Jul 04 an employee of Waterford Commercial Bank, 4661 Milner Road, Waterford, reported an unknown suspect threw a beer can through the bank’s sign at some point during the holiday weekend. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 6 Jul 04 an employee of the Pepsi Company, Mineral Wells, WV, reported an unknown suspect damaged a soft drink machine at 2889 State Route 821, Marietta, between the afternoon of 2 Jul and the morning of 6 Jul. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 6 Jul 04 an employee of the City of New Matamoras reported finding the remnants of a burnt mattress and night stand in the middle of the roadway at Third and Main Streets. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Peter Nichols, age 39, 723 Seventh Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Nichols was arrested on Washington Street in Marietta by Patrolman Mitchell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Jul 04 at 9:45 pm.
