On 25 Jun 04 Lt. Huffer investigated a deer-vehicle collision at 2755 Waterford Road in Muskingum Township. Teresa L. Taylor, age 28, 1937 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre, was driving her Pontiac Aztec northbound on Waterford Road when a deer vaulted across the road causing her to strike it with the driver side grill of her vehicle, throwing the deer airborne and into the façade of the residence at 2755 Waterford Road. The deer caused minimal damage to the home and functional damage to Ms. Taylor’s vehicle.

On 25 Jun 04 Jodi Baker, age 45, 770 Coal Run Road, Marietta, reported while visiting Sierra Apartments at 836 Pike Street in Marietta, one of the apartment’s tenants used a large amount of profanity toward her. An investigation resulted in charges being filed against Shawn Gill, 836 Pike Street Apt. 1, for disorderly conduct (1203).

On 25 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone investigated a single vehicle collision in the parking lot of the Pit Stop at 3355 State Route 821 in Marietta. Lewis A. Cefaratti, age 62, 7 Gardinia Road, Hilton Head, SC, was unparking his tractor-trailer and while negotiating a turn, struck the guard pole protecting the gas pumps of the establishment. Mr. Cefaratti’s vehicle was not damaged while damage to the guard pole was moderate.

On 25 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Ryan R. Walters, age 24, 1330 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for traveling 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Walters on Interstate 77 near State Route 821 in Aurelius Township.

On 25 Jun 04 Doris K. Blake, age 63, 5009 Kidder Drive, Belpre, reported sixty dollars in change was stolen from a cookie jar in her home. This incident remains under investigation (490).

On 25 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Malone began an investigation into the damaging of mailboxes at 114, 120, 122, 209 and 509 Masonic Park Road in Marietta.

On 25 Jun 04 Lucy Stephens, age 48, 2820 Blennerhassett Avenue Lot 18, Belpre, reported the license plate was stolen off the rear of her car during the previous evening. The suspect was identified and charges will be filed in Marietta Municipal Court (1090).

Amber L. Lowers, age 23, last known address 905 Cisler Lane, Marietta, indicted for one felony count of theft and five felony counts of forgery.

Jason R. Allberry, age 27, 19678 Cadiz Road, Quaker City, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $186.

Robert E. Carpenter, age 30, 2020 Bear Run Road, Reno, for a second offense of driving under a suspended license on 12 Jun 04.

Matthew R. Foraker, age 20, 1003 Campus Drive, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $584.

Charles A. Isenhart, age 27, 37148 Center Ridge Road, North Ridge, OH, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $57.

Andrew H. King, age 22, 714 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $190.

Adam D. Mason, age 20, 818 ½ Lee Street, Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,262.

Jacob A. Minnich, age 20, 35 Cedar Street, Flatwoods, WV, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 15 Jun 04.

Stephen M. Morgenstern, age 30, Rural Route 3 Box 269A, Marietta, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 11 Jun 04.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Frederick Gale McKitrick, age 22, 403 Maple Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. McKitrick was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 04 at 1:35 am.

Ibby Marie Martin, age 40, 11430 Hamley Run Road, Nelsonville, OH, for .08 breath OVI and driving under an OVI suspended license, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 04 at 2:00 am.

Jerrod Dale Russell, age 28, 1080 Sand Hill Road, Marietta, for operating with an expired or no operator’s license, a misdemeanor. Russell was arrested on State Route 676 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 04 at 4:05 am.

Melissa Jo Flesher, age 29, 598 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Flesher was picked up in Marysville by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 04 at 4:00 pm.
