On 16 Jun 04 Dale H. Pugh, age 52, 5765 Patten Mills Road, Stockport, reported while he was driving a road grader on Oak Hill Road, a thirteen year old male sitting on a porch shot at and hit the cab of the grader with a pink paintball. The grader sustained no damage and Mr. Pugh was not injured as a result of the incident. This case remains under investigation (232).

On 16 Jun 04 Cynthia Parks, age 34, 836 Pike Street Apt. 24, Marietta reported being awakened by an acquaintance engaging in sexual intercourse without her consent. Upon further questioning by Detective Johnson, Ms. Parks changed her story and stated that she began to have consensual intercourse with the acquaintance and at a point she told him no and he stopped. Ms. Parks then admitted she was not raped and therefore Detective Johnson requested a summons for her for falsification.

On 16 Jun 04 James Corder, age 38, 19113 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported a toolbox containing various wrenches, sockets and an impact wrench, as well as a CD player from his car were stolen from his residence on 10 Jun 04. This case remains under investigation (1091).

On 16 Jun 04 Cheryl Congrove, age 39, 606 Masonic Park Road, Marietta, reported since the first of June an unknown suspect stole $420 from a safe in her home. This case remains under investigation (586).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Merrill Alan Dawson, age 57, 5695 Alcott Avenue, Las Vegas, NV, for driving under an FRA suspension, a misdemeanor. Luke was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Morris of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 2:40 am.

Christina Dawn Carter, age 28, 589 Valleyview Road, St. Marys, WV, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Carter was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 6:05 pm.

Jennifer Lee Grimes, age 30, 121 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Grimes turned herself in to Patrolman Waite of the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 8:05 pm.

Terry Lee Nutter, age 48, 112 Maple Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Nutter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 8:35 pm.

John David Lent Sr., age 43, 315 Seventh Street, Marietta, for rape, a felony. Lent was arrested in Marietta by Detective Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 9:30 pm.

Joseph Shawn Britton, age 31, 1572 Elizabeth Street Apt. C, Belpre,for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Britton was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Davis of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 04 at 11:00 pm.
