On 14 Jun 04 Diana L. Parsons, age 39, 73 Callihan
Road, Marietta, reported after an argument with her ex-husband,
her ex-husband angrily left the residence, kicking up rocks
at Ms. Parson’s vehicle as he spun his tires. While Sgt.
Underwood photographed the evidence a carload of young people
pulled into the driveway and entered the residence. As Sgt.
Underwood put a camera in his cruiser he noticed one of the
new arrivals at the scene spit on his window. He asked and all
of the occupants except one exited the residence. Five minutes
later Christopher P. Oates, age 18, 304 Chamberlain Drive, Marietta,
exited the residence and spoke with Sgt. Underwood. Immediately
Sgt. Underwood noticed an odor of alcohol mixed with mouthwash.
When questioned, Mr. Oates admitted consuming alcohol at his
residence earlier in the evening as well as spitting on Sgt.
Underwood’s window. Sgt. Underwood arrested Mr. Oates
for underage consumption of alcohol and transported him to the
Washington County Jail. The criminal damaging incident remains
under investigation.
On 14 Jun 04 Carl J. Lang, age 69, 1840 Rainbow
Road, Waterford, reported at some point during the past six
weeks, an unknown suspect stole a brass belt press wheel from
his truck or storage building. This case remains under investigation
(597).
On 14 Jun 04 Karen Pope, age 51, 2300 Sheets Run
Road, New Matamoras, reported an unknown suspect(s) dumped a
mattress and box springs on the Parr Hill side of her property.
This case remains under investigation (695).
On 14 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation
to David J. Sabbath, age 46, 58 West College Street, Westerville,
OH, for traveling 87 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped
Mr. Sabbath on Interstate 77 north near mile post seven Muskingum
Township.
On 14 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans was dispatched
to the home 256 Macksburg Hill Road, Macksburg, at the behest
of Hilda M. Ramage, age 62. Mrs. Ramage stated when she confronted
her husband Martin, age 64, about his drinking and odd behavior,
an argument ensued and escalated into a scuffle in which each
party shoved the other several times. As tempers subsided Mr.
Ramage threatened his wife again, causing her to be in fear
for her safety. In consequence Deputy Evans requested a warrant
for the arrest of Mr. Ramage for domestic violence.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrant:
Randy L. Snyder, age 40, Route 2 Box 97, Dayton,
PA, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to contact
the probation department on 24 Jan 03 and for failing to show
proof of court ordered counseling.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Trent Edward Stevens, age 28,908 Fourth Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Stevens was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gault
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jun 04 at
10:30 am.
Stephen Douglas Dickinson, age 46, 710 ½
Clement Avenue, Belpre, for theft, a misdemeanor. Dickinson
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 May 04 at 8:35 pm.
Christopher Paul Oates, age 18, 304 Chamberlain
Drive, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Oates was arrested on Callihan Road Sgt. Underwood of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Jun 04 at 9:45 pm.
