On 13 Jun 04 Augustus W. Bills, age 68, 2682 Veto Road, Vincent, reported an unknown suspect drove off with his Honda ATV, .22 caliber handgun and .22 caliber rifle at 11:45 pm that evening. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 13 Jun 04 an anonymous caller reported a driver operating in an erratic manner on Angle Road in Waterford. When Deputy Sheriff Evans arrived at the scene the driver of a truck was doing donuts in the vicinity of Angle Road. Deputy Evans stopped the vehicle and noticed the driver had red, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. Chad M. Babcock, age 20, 334 South Liberty Street, New Concord, OH, attempted field sobriety tests but performed poorly and consequently arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 13 Jun 04 a thirty-two year old Marietta woman reported an acquaintance called her and threatened her. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 13 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of the D & E Drive-In in Macksburg. Charity J. Hayes, age 29, 14615 State Route 78, Caldwell, was coasting backwards in preparation to depart when her Jeep Cherokee struck the front of a Chevy S-10 owned by Gerald S. Clark, 225 Main Street, Macksburg. Both vehicles sustained light damage.

On 13 Jun 04 Joyce A. Hollingsworth, age 50, 2255 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect entered her home and removed the bolts from the hinges of a door leading to her garage. Ms. Hollingsworth noted no items appear to be missing. This case remains under investigation (232).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ira David Blair Jr., age 19, 65 Beardsley Road, Lowell, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 04 at 12:10 am.

Eric Wayne Morris, age 22, 80 Smith Drive, Marietta, for a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor charge of consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle. Morris was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 04 at 12:10 am.

Chad Michael Babcock, age 20, 335 Liberty Street, New Concord, OH, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Babcock was arrested in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 04 at 7:35 am.

Terrance Lee Greathouse, age 42, 304 Elm Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Greathouse was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 04 at 6:40 pm.

Samantha Dawn Eddy, age 23, 212 Sacra Via Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Eddy was arrested in Devola by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Jun 04 at 6:50 pm.
