On 9 Jun 04 a forty-eight year old Marietta man
reported receiving harassing phone calls from a person known
to him. The individual desired not to pursue the matter further
(200).
On 9 Jun 04 an employee of United Rentals, 1205
Pike Street, Marietta, reported receiving a bad check for $2,025.31
on 18 Feb 04 for the rental of a backhoe. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
On 9 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins issued a citation
to Kathryn Denton, age 49, 147 Oak Drive, Little Hocking, for
failure to control. Deputy Jenkins issued the citation as a
result of a traffic crash in which Ms. Denton failed to negotiate
a turn from Wood Drive onto Oak Drive in Little Hocking. Ms.
Denton left the roadway, struck a steel post, entered a residential
yard and struck a steel framed yard swing. Ms. Denton was not
injured during the incident.
On 9 Jun 04 Deputy Sheriff Brown was routed to
the home of Jessica Blankenship, age 23, 820 Newells Run Road,
Newport, in response to an act of domestic violence. Through
an investigation Deputy Brown surmised that Ms. Blankenship’s
father David, age 44, 830 Newells Run Road, Newport, went to
his daughter’s homer in a drunken state and an argument
escalated to a point where Mr. Blankenship punched his daughter
and her live-in boyfriend each in the shoulder before being
forced from the home. Consequently Mr. Blankenship was arrested
for domestic violence and assault and transported to the Washington
County Jail where Deputy Brown requested he remain without bond.
On 9 Jun 04 a forty-four year old Lowell resident
reported receiving harassing phone calls while making calls
for his business earlier in the day. This case remains under
investigation (500).
On 9 Jun 04 Sharon K. Fairbanks, age 56, 26 High
Street, Vincent, reported an acquaintance allegedly struck her
across the left side of her face using an open hand. This case
remains under investigation (698).
On 9 Jun 04 Dale Kuhn, age 67, 815 Federal Road,
Little Hocking, reported between 5 and 9 Jun the sign for Fellowship
Chapel was stolen from its location at the intersection of State
Route 124 and US 50. This case remains under investigation (698).
On 9 Jun 04 Willard G. Bush, age 26, 110 Kesselring
Road, Newport, reported he and his fiancée were assaulted
by several acquaintances who came to his residence claiming
he damaged their property. This case remains under investigation
(945).

Ralph Stewart, age 31, 35086 Pageville Road, Albany,
OH, for failure to appear as ordered by the court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Warren Stephen Lee Tucker, age 23, 715 Greene
Street Apt. B, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Tucker was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 9 Jun 04 at 3:35 pm.
Kelly Lynn Johnson, age 19, 410 Fearing Street,
Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, disorderly conduct
by fighting and for two counts of breach of recognizance, all
misdemeanors. Johnson was arrested at Sierra Apartments by Deputy
Sheriff Brown and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 9 Jun 04 at 8:10 pm.
Jacob Anthony Allen, age 18, 41 Sandstone Terrace,
Athens, for theft, a misdemeanor. Allen was arrested at near
the Athens County line by Sgt. Jobes of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 9 Jun 04 at 8:25 pm.
David Gilbert Blankenship, age 44, 870 Newells
Run Road, Newport, for domestic violence and assault, both misdemeanors.
Blankenship was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff
Brown and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Jun
04 at 11:30 pm.
