On 30 May 04 Homer Wilson, age 70, 553 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg, reported between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning
an unknown suspect entered his property on Carson Road and stole
a half inch drive socket set. This case remains under investigation
(684).
On 30 May 04 a thirty-seven year old Parkersburg
woman reported while a passenger in an acquaintance’s
vehicle near Carson Lane in Belpre, the acquaintance molested
her and refused to let her out of the vehicle. This case remains
under investigation (698).
On 30 May 04 Dawn Vaughn-Rex, age 30, 20350 State
Route 60, Beverly, reported her husband Jonathan, age 31, assaulted
her on two separate occasions earlier in the day. While patronizing
Quimby’s in Beverly, Mrs. Rex stated she felt threatened
during an argument, during which her intoxicated husband raised
his fist in a striking manner. Later, the argument continued
in the kitchen of their home and Mr. Vaughn pushed his wife
backwards against the kitchen cabinets. Mrs. Vaughn fought back
momentarily then Mr. Vaughn began breaking dishes inside the
residence and threatened to harm himself with an axe. As a result
of his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Gherke arrested Mr. Vaughn
for two counts of domestic violence and transported him to the
Washington County Jail where he is being held without bond.
On 30 May 04 an emergency room nurse at Marietta
Memorial Hospital reported treating an assault victim. The victim
refused to cooperate in the investigation (684).
On 30 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins issued a citation
to Billy J. Toncray, age 27, 5996 North Torch Road, Little Hocking,
for having a fictitious registration. Deputy Jenkins stopped
Mr. Toncray on US 50 near Township Road 97 in Belpre Township
for not having a license plate light.
On 30 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans began an investigation
into the damaging of fifteen mailboxes along State Route 676
in Marietta.
On 30 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes was dispatched
to Green Hill Road after the Sheriff’s Office received
a report from an individual wanting to turn himself in. When
Deputy Rhodes arrived at the scene, Christopher P. Dozier, age
20, 106 Badin Lane, Mooresville, NC, informed him that he stole
a 2003 Honda Civic and there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Dozier and transported him to the
Washington County Jail where he is being held pending extradition.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tabitha Dawn Way, age 22, 7042 Dale Road, Stockport,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
contempt of a court order and domestic violence, all misdemeanors.
Way was arrested on Sealey Ridge Road Sgt. Underwood of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 30 May 04 at 12:10 am.
Shaun Thomas Harold, age 21, State Route 31 Box
33A, Williamstown, for .08 breath OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia
and speeding, all misdemeanors. Harold was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 30 May 04 at 2:10 am.
Christopher Paul Dozier, age 20, 200 Green Hill
Road, Marietta, a fugitive from the state of North Carolina.
Dozier was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 May 04 at
9:50 am.
Joseph Wesley Myers, age 27, 115 Deer Haven Street,
Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Myers
turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Gherke and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 May 04 at 2:45 pm.
Jonathan Walls Rex, age 31, 2035 State Route 60,
Beverly, for two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Rex
was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 May 04 at 8:05 pm.
