On 25 May 04 a thirty-five year old Marietta man reported receiving more than a dozen harassing phone calls within the past two days. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 25 May 04 a twenty year old Marietta woman reported an acquaintance has been making harassing phone calls and threatening her for the past nine days. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 25 May 04 Richard E. Thompson, age 41, 206 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, reported a Chevy S-10 that he purchased in 2003 was stolen from a business in Newport between 9 and 25 May 04. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 25 May 04 Jeff D. West, age 42, 813 Congress Road, Belpre, reported a family member allegedly used his personal information to open an account with Allegheny Power. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 25 May 04 the owner of Gary’s Numismatics, 1094A Clement Avenue, Belpre, reported two customers may have stolen an assortment of old coins while patronizing his business. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 25 May 04 Candido Wilder, age 35, 11776 State Route 555, Cutler, reported an unknown suspect entered his home between 10 pm on 24 May and 1 am on 25 May and stole a Hi-Point 9 mm handgun. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 25 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman investigated a claim made by a Marietta woman that she was assaulted with a pitchfork. The woman and her friend later admitted no attack took place. This case remains under investigation (200).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Hannah J. Ball, age 22, Route 2 Box 120, Lowell, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 21 May 04.

David L. Bigley Sr., age 33, 7765 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 21 May 04.

Michael S. Bills, age 31, Route 4 Box 128, St. Marys, WV, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to report for a scheduled meeting, for failing to pick up a certified letter and for failing to make monthly fine payments as ordered by the court.

Paula E. Brewer, age 51, 38321 State Route 7, Longbottom, OH, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 21 May 04.

Walter Glenn, age 41, 18117 Euclid, Cleveland, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to call in for a scheduled meeting with his probation officer.

Terrance Greathouse, age 42, 304 Elm Street, Marietta, for failing to appear for a debtor’s exam on 21 May 04.

Jennifer L. Grimes, age 30, 121 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for driving under suspension and for operating an unsafe vehicle on 16 May 04.

Johnny W. Johnson, age 21, 202 ½ Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to report for a scheduled meeting on 19 Apr 04.

Marvin D. Riffle, age 32, 215 South Court Street, Harrisville, WV, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license and for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 20 May 04.

Evelyn Sacks, age 35, last known address 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation by failing to pay income tax to the City of Marietta and for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 10 May 04.

Tonya R. Wynn, age 31, 152 Harmar Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear for two scheduled meetings for failing to report a change of address within twenty-four hours and for failing to make monthly payments as ordered by the court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nathaniel Lee Elder, age 25, 940 Layman Road, Vincent, for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Elder was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 04 at 12:50 am.

Scott Richard Reedy II, age 20, 4544 Tschopp Road, Lancaster, OH, for misdemeanor charges of .08 breath OVI, operating without a license, no seat belt, hit-skip, failure to control, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reedy was arrested on Third Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 04 at 7:35 am.

Steven Eugene McCabe, age 45, 108 Schilling Drive, Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation. McCabe was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Carson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 04 at 10:15 am.

Richard E. Thompson, age 41, 206 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for two misdemeanor charges of menacing. Thompson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 04 at 3:00 pm.

Kenneth Royden Sparks, age 26, 613 Charles Street Lot 1, Marietta, for felony charges of theft and violating the terms of his parole. Sparks was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Carson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 04 at 4:15 pm
