On 23 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated a two vehicle accident at 2245 Silver Globe Road in Marietta. Deputy Evans concluded Marandia E. Blouir, age 23, was leaving her residence after an argument with her boyfriend Nathaniel L. Elder, age 25, 940 Layman Road, Vincent, when she backed in to Mr. Elder’s Toyota truck breaking a tail light. Ms. Blouir’s Toyota 4 Runner sustained moderate damage.

On 23 May 04 Allen E. Reeder, age 34, 2700 Sand Hill Road, Marietta, reported a Connex CB radio was stolen from his Kenworth truck between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. This case remains under investigation (187, 296).

On 23 May 04 Randi S. Oliver, age 20, 836 Pike Street Apt. 3, Marietta, reported an Audiovox CD player and a CD were stolen from her vehicle between 6 pm Saturday and 1:30 pm Sunday. The CD player was located and returned to Ms. Oliver. This case remains under investigation (187, 296).

On 23 May 04 Michael Barnett, age 32, 1224 Lancaster Street, Marietta, reported a Craftsman toolbox containing dialysis equipment was stolen from his vehicle Saturday evening and Sunday morning. This case remains under investigation (684).

On 23 May 04 Michael M. Holden, age 57, 2060 Olinn Road, Marietta, reported his hay and cornfields were damaged by a vehicle driving through them. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 23 May 04 Shawn Ratcliff, age 20, PO Box 235, Rutland, OH, an inmate of the Washington County Jail, reported two other inmates assaulted him for allegedly dating one of the assailant’s relatives. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 23 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman was dispatched to the vicinity of milepost forty on State Route 7 near Newport to investigate a domestic dispute that occurred in a vehicle traveling northbound on State Route 7. A fifteen year old New Martinsville, WV, resident reported, while seated in the back seat, his eighteen year old sister voiced disapproval of his use of a CD player and began scratching and biting her brother. In an attempt to quell hostilities, the children’s mother moved her daughter to the front seat where the daughter began punching her mother in the shoulder. As a result, Deputy Norman arrested the eighteen year old for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 23 May 04 James Croston, age 27, 300 Buckeye Ridge, Chesterhill, reported a family member allegedly assaulted him. This case remains under investigation (1090, 592).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Shane Michael Hardie, age 28, 1424 Barth Road, Belpre, for felony charges of burglary and domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging. Hardie was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 04 at 9:55 pm.

Rhonda Lee Currier, age 18, 28 Rose Street Lot 83N, New Martinsville, WV, for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Currier was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 04 at 11:07 pm.
