On 15 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of State Route 550 and Dodge Run Road after the vehicle he was following failed to use a turn signal as it turned onto State Route 550. Upon making contact with the driver, Timothy McMaster, age 36, 131 Groves Avenue, Marietta, Deputy Jenkins learned Mr. McMaster was driving under a suspended license. Also noticing an odor of alcohol, Deputy Jenkins administered a series of field sobriety test, on which Mr. McMaster performed poorly. Accordingly, Mr. McMaster was arrested for OVI, driving under a suspended license and failure to signal and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins initiated a traffic stop near milepost sixteen on State Route 550 after observing the vehicle he was following travel left of the centerline. Upon making contact with the driver, Julio A. Gonzales, age 35, 208 Brittigan Circle, Deputy Jenkins learned Mr. Gonzales was driving without a license. Also noticing an odor of alcohol, Deputy Jenkins administered a series of field sobriety test, on which Mr. Gonzales performed poorly. The passenger in the vehicle, Kelly Johnson, age 19, 410 Fearing Street, Marietta, admitted consuming alcohol and that Mr. Gonzales provided it. Mr. Gonzales was arrested for OVI, no operator’s license, driving left of center and furnishing alcohol to a minor, Ms. Johnson for underage consumption and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 May 04 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff Stackpole were dispatched to 9245 State Route 60, Lowell, after witnesses reported the property’s owner, Kevin S. Self, age 38, was highly intoxicated and brandishing a sixteen gauge, single shot, shotgun. Mr. Self was treated at Marietta Memorial Hospital and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 15 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Gherke investigated a domestic dispute at the home of Gerald S. Clark, age 38, 225 Main Street, Macksburg. An investigation concluded no threat or violence occurred.

On 15 May 04 Sally A. Lerch, age 32, 401 Lewis Pointe, Vincent, reported two large flower pots were broken and soil strewn about her driveway between midnight and 9 am on 15 May. This case remains under investigation (1203).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 30, 205 Scammel Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for receiving stolen property and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 1:30 am.

Timothy Gale McMaster, age 36, 131 Groves Avenue, Marietta, for OVI, failure to reinstate an operator’s license and failure to signal, all misdemeanors. McMaster was arrested on State Route 550 by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 2:30 am.

Kelly Lynn Johnson, age 19, 410 Fearing Street, Marietta, for underage consumption, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested on State Route 550 by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 6:10 am.

Julio Gonzalez, age 35, 208 Brittigan Circle, Marietta, for OVI, no operator’s license, furnishing alcohol to an underage person and driving upon the left side of the road, all misdemeanors. Gonzalez was arrested on State Route 550 by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 6:20 am.

Danny Ward, age 53, 311 Maple Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of aggravated robbery and misdemeanor charges of failure to comply with the order of an officer, resisting arrest, OVI, driving under suspension and driving left of center. Ward was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 7:15 am.

Daniel Dwaine Gaughan, age 37, Beverly, for a felony charge of violating a protection order and a misdemeanor charge of telephone harassment. Gaughan turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Malone and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 6:20 pm.

Kevin Steven Self, age 38, 2945 State Route 60, Lowell, for disorderly conduct by intoxication and for using a weapon while intoxicated, both misdemeanors. Self was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 May 04 at 9:30 pm.
