On 14 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins initiated a traffic stop on County Road 3 near Greenview Road in Warren Township after he observed the driver operating in a suspicious manner in that vicinity. A computer check confirmed the license of the driver, Dallas W. Farnsworth, age 30, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, was suspended for a drug offense. Mr. Farnsworth, along with the passengers in the vehicle were also observed consuming alcohol in the vehicle. Aaron Farnsworth, age 19, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, and Anthony B. Martin, age 18, 700 Green Hill Road, Marietta, were charged with underage consumption and consuming in a vehicle and the elder Farnsworth was charged with driving under suspension and consuming in a vehicle. All three were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 14 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Kapple was dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute at 2331 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent. Upon his arrival, Joyce Vincent, age 37, informed Deputy Kapple her husband Lowell, age 40, became verbally abusive, grabbed her head and shook it. Mrs. Vincent broke captivity and fled to a neighbor’s house to call for help. Mr. Vincent was located, arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 14 May 04 Robert Reed, age 73, 845 Bender Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect in Texas has been using his personal information to make credit card purchases for the past two weeks. This case was referred to the fraud division of the credit card company (1091).

On 14 May 04 Kristofer Brannan, age 28, 836 Pike Street Apt. 6, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect stole a Playstation 2 and two games from his apartment during a thirty minute span earlier in the day. In an unrelated incident, Mr. Brannan stated a neighbor threatened him and struck him in the chest. Both cases remain under investigation (1203, 1090).

On 14 May Randi Oliver, age 20, 836 Pike Street Apt. 3, Marietta, reported all four tires on her Buick Regal were slashed between 2:30 am and 12 pm. The following day Ms. Oliver also reported a case containing forty CD’S was stolen from her apartment the previous evening. These cases remain under investigation (1203, 597).

On 14 May 04 Logan Hills, age 24, 19965 State Route 550, Marietta, reported a ten year old window air conditioner was stolen off his porch after 2 pm on 14 May. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 14 May 04 Timothy J. Mincks, age 45, 12270 State Route 60, Lowell, reported an unknown suspect entered his home by breaking the plexiglass of a basement door and rifled through several cabinets and drawers, though no items appear missing. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 14 May 04 a loss prevention officer from Wal-Mart in Vienna reported following a suspect onto State Route 7 near County Road 51 in Belpre. Further investigation concluded a checkbook in the possession of the suspect, Jeffrey W. Nunn, age 18, 1050 Eoff, Wheeling, WV, was stolen from a purse at Marietta Memorial Hospital and used to purchase items at five businesses in Washington County. Mr. Nunn was arrested for theft and five counts of forgery and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 14 May 04 Dennis A. Connelly, age 36, 114 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, reported a neighbor directed a threatening statement toward him. This case remains under investigation (597).

On 14 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of B & J Carryout on State Route 7 in Newport. As a seventeen year old female entered the parking lot in her Suzuki Grand Vitara, Larry E. Skinner, age 42, 105 Piedmont Drive, St. Marys, WV, was backing his Dodge Dakota and struck the bumper of the juvenile’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained light damage.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Travis Blake Shahan, age 19, 762 Dan Street, Akron, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Shahan was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 1:15 am.

Kathy Yvonne Little, age 51, 714 6th Street, St Marys, WV, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Little was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 1:50 am.

John Aaron Givens, age 23, 100 Linwood Avenue Lot B, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Givens was arrested in Marietta by Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 2:35 am.

Phillip John Terry, age 33, 930 Broadway Street Lot 72, Baltimore, OH, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Terry was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 3:00 am.

Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 19, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for underage consumption and consuming in a vehicle, both misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested on Greenhill Road by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 4:13 am.

Anthony Brian Martin, age 18, 700 Greenhill Road, Marietta, for underage consumption and consuming in a vehicle, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested on Greenhill Road by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 4:13 am.

Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 30, 205 Scammel Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for driving under a drug abuse suspended license and consuming in a vehicle, both misdemeanors. Farnsworth was arrested on Greenhill Road by Deputy Sheriff Jenkins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 4:15 am.

Brent Allen Carpenter, age 27, 212 Franklin Street, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Deputy Sheriff Sears and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 10:00 am.

Robert John Brotton Jr., age 37, 107 Jefferson Drive, Caldwell, for telephone harassment and for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Brotton was picked up at the Noble County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 10:20 am.

Lowell Dearll Vincent Jr., age 40, 2331 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Vincent was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Kapple and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 4:00 pm.

James Scott Wilcox, age 36, 156 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wilcox was arrested on Turkey Hollow Road by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 11:20 pm.

Jeffrey William Hunn, age 18, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for theft and five counts of forgery, all felonies. Hunn was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 May 04 at 11:59 pm.
