On 12 May 04 an employee of Schott’s Repair
Service, 5503 State Route 821, Whipple, reported an employee
has allegedly stolen cash from the business’ cash box
for the past four months. This case remains under investigation
(586).
On 12 May 04 Dwight Riggs, age 64, 4180 State
Route 26, Marietta, reported being harassed by a woman against
whom he has a mutual restraining order. This case remains under
investigation (500).
On 12 May 04 Lt. Wilson and Deputy Sheriff Norman
were dispatched to 809 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, to intercede
a domestic dispute between Jessica Parsons, age 20, and her
mother Hester Groves, age 40. Ms. Parsons stated and a witness
confirmed that during an argument, Ms. Groves punched her daughter
in the nose, causing it to bleed, and pulled her hair. Ms. Groves
was duly arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Thomas Zwick, age 45, 1209 Cisler Lane,
Marietta, for theft and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors.
Zwick was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Mitchell of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 May 04 at 10:30 am.
George Donald Smith II, age 18, 820 Ridge Street,
Marietta, for hit-skip, operating without a license and for
violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Smith
was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 May 04 at 10:55 am.
Douglas Dean Starcher Jr., age 25, 15981 State
Route 279, Oak Hill, OH, for driving under suspension, contempt
of court and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors.
Starcher was picked up in Jackson County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 May 04 at
12:00 pm.
Hester Jean Groves, age 40, 807 Grandview Avenue,
New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Groves
was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 May 04 at 9:04 pm.
