On 10 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of Little Hocking
Elementary School. As Samuel N. Weekley, age 36, 13 Wood Drive,
Little Hocking, entered the parking lot driving his GMC Sonoma,
Heather Coffman, age 28, 690 Coffman Road, Little Hocking, backed
the rear bumper of her Oldsmobile Intrigue into the driver’s
door of Mr. Weekley’s truck. Both vehicles sustained moderate
damage and neither party reported injuries.
On 10 May 04 Doug A. Hendershot, age 50, 625 Green
Street, Newport, reported between 11 pm on 4 May and 12:15 am
on 5 May, an unknown suspect cut several wires underneath his
Dodge truck. This case remains under investigation (296).
On 10 May 04 Fred Chapman, age 55, 520 Emmaus
Road, Belpre, reported the lights in his neighbor’s home
have been left on and he has not seen his neighbor for four
days. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 10 May 04 Raymond P. McCarthy, age 21, 210
Broughton Avenue, Marietta, reported he was involved in a quarrel
with his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend outside his girlfriend’s
Washington Square apartment. Mr. McCarthy desired not to pursue
charges (598).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Jarrod M. Bauerbach, age 24, Pennock Court Lot
63, Beverly, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $191.
Ryan O. Nichols, age 27, 341 Tadpole Run Road,
Belpre, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $150.
Casey Hoover, age 18, 735 Greene Street, Marietta,
for failing to appear for a hearing in Juvenile Court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jerry Allen Murphy Jr., age 22, 260 Thomas Hill
Road, Newport, for aggravated vehicular assault, a felony. Allen
was arrested on County House Lane by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 May
04 at 3:30 am.
Michael J. Babcock, age 27, 470 Cornerville Road,
Reno, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Babcock
turned himself in to Probation Officer Gault and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 May 04 at 3:45 pm.
