On 8 May 04 Don Butcher, age 57, PO Box 148 County
Road 32, Waterford, reported he believes his son’s landlord
entered his son’s residence without permission. This case
remains under investigation (1291).
On 8 May 04 Muriel A. Sickles, age 45, 250 Lakewood
Road, Cutler, reported being harassed while viewing her daughter’s
softball game on 28 Apr 04. This case remains under investigation
(200).
On 8 May 04 Robert Burchfield, age 65, 1022 Grandview
Avenue, New Matamoras, reported an unknown suspect(s) entered
his garage and stole a McCulloch chainsaw, a Poulan weed eater,
a cordless drill and two fishing rods and reels. This case remains
under investigation (500).
On 8 May 04 a twenty-five year old Marietta woman
reported receiving a harassing phone call. This case remains
under investigation (1291).
On 8 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Brown transported a
mentally unstable eight year old to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for treatment and evaluation.
On 8 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Evans investigated
a domestic dispute reported by Alice C. Nay, age 29, 9105 State
Route 550, Vincent. Mrs. Nay stated an argument ensued over
the fact that the checking account belonging to her and her
husband Timothy, age 29, was overdrawn. Angered, Mr. Nay called
his wife derogatory names and pushed her. As she walked away
Mr. Nay grabbed his wife from behind and attempted to pry her
hands open to obtain the checkbook, to no avail. As a result
of his investigation, Deputy Evans arrested Mr. Nay for domestic
violence transported him to the Washington County Jail where,
due to past actions, he is being held without bond.
On 8 May 04 Lt. Wilson initiated a traffic stop
on US 50 near Farson Street in Belpre after observing the driver
of a vehicle travel to the right of the white edge line for
a hundred yards. The driver, Rebecca C. Compton, age 39, 40
East Lake Lane, Belpre, admitted consuming vodka at a bar in
Parkersburg and failed a horizontal gaze nystagmus test. Accordingly,
Ms. Compton was cited for driving outside the marked lanes of
travel, arrested for OVI and transported to the Washington County
Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Madison Fox Jr., age 24, 840 Pike Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Fox
was arrested at Sierra Apartments by Deputy Sheriff Gherke and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 May 04 at 12:30
am.
