On 7 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Spencer investigated
a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of BP on State Route
60 in Beverly. As Michael J. Dailey, age 33, 135 Center Street,
Waterford, entered the parking lot in his Plymouth Voyager,
he struck the rear corner of a trailer being backed by a panel
truck driven by Allen W. Scott, age 39, 182 Mineral Park Estates,
Mineral Wells, WV. Both vehicles sustained light damage and
no injuries were reported.
On 7 May 04 the father of a fifteen year old New
Matamoras resident reported, while he was away from his residence,
his daughter invited her seventeen year old ex-boyfriend inside
the residence despite the fact the boyfriend was asked not to
be on the property. As a result, Lt. Canavan requested a summons
for the appearance of the fifteen and seventeen year olds in
Juvenile Court on the respective charges of being unruly and
being delinquent.
On 7 May 04 Shannon M. Lang, age 23, 106 Riley
Drive Apt. 4, Marietta, reported an acquaintance may have forged
two of her checks for purchases at Wal-Mart. This case remains
under investigation (200).
On 7 May 04 an employee of Hilltop Auto Wrecking,
975 Blue Knob Road, Belpre, reported the business received a
bad check for $53.75 on 19 Mar 04. This case remains under investigation
(8411).
On 7 May 04 Vera M. Amos, age 78, 1010 Williamson
Avenue, New Matamoras, reported a Homelite chainsaw, two Stihl
chainsaws and a Stihl weedeater were stolen from a storage building
on her property some time during the previous evening. This
case remains under investigation (597).
On 7 May 04 Terence A. Cramer, age 51, 17734 State
Route 550, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect broke the side
window on his truck some time during the previous evening. This
case remains under investigation (1291).
On 7 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins issued a citation
to William Houser, age 45, 1250 Limestone Road, St. Marys, for
failing to stop at a stop sign as he turned off the St. Marys
bridge onto State Route 7 in Newport.
On 7 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Jenkins issued a citation
to Donna L. Carroll, age 40, 32 South Idlewild Apt. 14, for
failure to control. Deputy Jenkins issued the citation after
Ms. Carroll jackknifed the tractor trailer she was driving and
backed into a guardrail as she attempted to turn around in the
intersection of Township Road 15 and Burnfield Road in Belpre
Township.
On 7 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Stackpole stopped a
vehicle southbound on State Route 7 for traveling 65 mph in
a 55 mph zone. Upon making contact with the driver, David Joseph
Tatterson, age 25, 106 Ebenezer Road, Pomeroy, OH, Deputy Stackpole
noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Subsequent to poor performance
on field sobriety tests Mr. Tatterson was arrested and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Joseph Tatterson, age 25, 106 Ebeneezer
Road, Pomeroy, OH, for .08 breath OVI and speeding, both misdemeanors.
Tatterson was arrested on Gravel Bank Road by Deputy Sheriff
Stackpole and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7
May 04 at 3:30 am.
Michael Lee Hurst, age 25, 213 Ingleside Avenue,
Marietta, for domestic violence and child endangerment, both
misdemeanors. Hurst was arrested at his residence by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 7 May 04 at 4:00 am.
