On 2 May 04 William H. Knisely, age 55, PO Box
431, Coolville, lured by the expectation of a sexual encounter
at Belpre Sand and Gravel, reported after removing his pants,
his female companion fled the scene. Unable to locate his pants
due to darkness, Mr. Knisely drove home without them and returned
the next day to discover them, less a large sum of cash the
woman took from his wallet. This case remains under investigation
(592).
On 2 May 04 Sgt. Jobes and Deputy Sheriffs Stackpole
and Malone were dispatched to 184 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, to
investigate a domestic disturbance. Penny Harriman, age 35,
stated she and her live-in boyfriend Randall Schwendeman, age
44, had been drinking when Mr. Schwendeman began handling several
firearms, causing her to fear for her safety. Deputies arrested
Mr. Schwendeman for domestic violence and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.
On 2 May 04 Greg Erb, age 25, 890 Dalzell Road,
Whipple, reported all four tires were slashed and the front
windshield, driver’s side, passenger’s side and
rear windows were broken on his Toyota Camry while he was away
from his residence Saturday evening. This case remains under
investigation (500).
On 2 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Norman encountered
a vehicle stopped on Paw Paw Creek Road, Whipple, without its
headlights on and with the engine running. As Deputy Norman
approached the vehicle, the driver appeared to be asleep. After
awakening the driver, Carl L. Haney II, age 29, 35021 State
Route 800, New Matamoras, was mumbling answers and seemed disoriented.
Subsequent to failing field sobriety tests, Mr. Haney was arrested
for OVI and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 2 May 04 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes filed affidavits
requesting summonses for:
Lawrence J. Malcolm, age 48, 355 Greenbrier
Circle, Marietta, for domestic violence; for a domestic dispute
that occurred at his residence on 12 Apr 04.
Ronnie Goad, age 29, Route 2 Box 125A, Lowell, for disorderly
conduct by fighting; for an altercation that occurred at
Fatal’s
Bar on 28 Feb 04.
Anthony Milligan, age 31, 278 Cats Creek Road, Lowell,
for disorderly conduct by fighting; for an altercation that
occurred at Fatal’s Bar on 28 Feb 04.
On 2 May 04 Dispatch routed Deputy Sheriff Mankins
to 836 Pike Street in response to a call made by Shawn A.
Gill, age 24, reporting his neighbor continuously screams
obscenities at him and his son. Confirming the account with
a neighbor and unable to speak with the suspect, Deputy Mankins
requested a summons for Scott A. Foraker, age 43, 836 Pike
Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for disorderly conduct.
On 2 May 04 Lynette Copeland, age 36, 215 Southland
Cemetery Road, Cutler, reported her neighbor’s cows
escaped confinement and damaged her yard and garden. This
case remains under investigation (698).
On 2 May 04 Sgt. Hiatt and Deputy Sheriff Simmons
were dispatched to the scene of an assault at 1308 Williamson
Avenue, New Matamoras. A seventeen year old New Matamoras
resident stated she and her husband arrived at Parkway Townhouses
to visit a relative and as she parked her car a woman exited
an apartment screaming at them to move their car. In the process
of moving the woman, Violet V. O’Dell, age 59, 1308
Williamson Avenue Apt. 1B, entered her apartment, returned
with a stick and began a barrage of blows to the juvenile’s
head, shoulders and arms. The husband wrestled the stick away
from Ms. O’Dell and she retreated to her apartment,
only to return with a friend and commenced to antagonize the
juvenile in an attempt to start a fight. As hostilities subsided,
Deputies confirmed the series of events which resulted in
the arrest of Ms. O’Dell for assault.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jack Oden Patterson III, age 19, 321 Seventh Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Patterson
was arrested on State Route 7 by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 May 04 at 1:50 am.
Carl Lee Haney II, age 29, 35021 State Route 800,
New Matamoras, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Haney was
arrested on County Road 15 by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 2 May 04 at 3:30 am.
Darren James Brull, age 20, 37 Westover Drive,
Chagrin Falls, OH, for falsification, underage consumption and
possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Brull was
arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 2 May 04 at 3:35 am.
Randal Lee Schwendeman, age 44, 184 Cats Creek
Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Schwendeman
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 2 May 04 at 4:25 am.
Dean Eugene McKown, age 24, 8389 State Route 821,
Whipple, for nonsupport of dependants, a felony. McKown was
arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 2 May 04 at 9:45 am.
Mark Aaron McIntyre, age 22, 223 Broughton Avenue,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. McIntyre turned himself in to Patrolman
Newell at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 2 May 04 at 11:45 am.
Violet Viola O’Dell, age 59, 1308 Williamson
Avenue Apt. 1B, New Matamoras, for assault, a misdemeanor. O’Dell
was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Hiatt of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 May 04 at 2:10 pm.
