On 23 Apr 04 a forty one year old Marietta woman
reported receiving in excess of thirty five harassing phone
calls during a one hour span the previous evening. This case
remains under investigation (698).
On 23 Apr 04 an employee of Beaver Construction
reported a suspect entered the company’s property at mile
post nineteen on State Route 7 without permission and attempted
to hotwire two vehicles. Deputy Sheriff Jenkins was later informed
the individual had permission to enter the property and the
company desired not to pursue charges.
On 23 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Brown was dispatched
to the home of Virginia Congrove, age 59, 809 Grandview Avenue,
New Matamoras, in response to a domestic violence complaint.
Ms. Congrove stated when she confronted her granddaughter for
calling her father names, her granddaughter slapped her. Consequently,
Deputy Jenkins arrested Ms. Congrove’s granddaughter,
Jessica Parsons, age 20, for domestic violence and transported
her to the Washington County Jail where she was released on
a personal recognizance bond.
On 23 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a domestic violence complaint at a home in Waterford. The victim
stated his live-in girlfriend’s fifteen-year-old son is
disrespectful and has trouble controlling his anger. After being
scolded the juvenile lost his temper, punched and pushed his
mother’s boyfriend into the wall. The juvenile was arrested
and transported to the Washington County Juvenile Center pending
appearance in Juvenile Court.
On 23 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriffs Evans and Jenkins
were dispatched to the home of Jaymie L. Fox, age 27, 926 State
Route 555, Little Hocking, in response to a domestic violence
complaint. Mrs. Fox stated her husband Chad, age 26, came home
intoxicated and began arguing. As the argument escalated Mr.
Fox pushed his wife down and punched her in the back of the
head. Based on their evidence Deputy Evans arrested Mr. Fox
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail where he was released on a personal recognizance
bond.
On 23 Apr 04 Virgil Pilson, age 36, 3719 Blue
Knob Road Apt. 2, Marietta, Ohio reported the taillights of
a truck he has for sale at the intersection of State Route 7
and County Road 10 were broken. Mr. Pilson declined further
investigation (1090).
On 23 Apr 04 Ron Fulton, 15 Highland Ridge Road,
Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s) entered his locked
Peterbuilt truck and stole his Cobra CB radio. This case remains
under investigation (586).
On 23 Apr 04 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a hit-skip accident in the parking lot of River Park Manor Apartments
in New Matamoras. In backing from a parking stall, the driver
of a silver Oldsmobile collided with the rear driver’s
side fender of a Dodge Neon owned by Debra K. Barrow, Hickory
Lane Lot 32, New Matamoras. A passenger of the vehicle viewed
the damage to Ms. Barrow’s vehicle then absconded the
scene. This incident remains under investigation.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Robert Busch, age 23, 1005 Pike Street,
Marietta, for criminal simulation, a felony. Busch was arrested
at the Marietta Probation Office by Patrolman Hawkins of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 23 Apr 04 at 2:22 pm.
Jameel Yasen Abdul Khan, age 19, 407 58th Street,
Vienna, WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Khan was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ferrell
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Apr 04 at
2:55 pm.
Jessica Marie Parsons, age 20, 807 Grandview Avenue,
New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Parsons
was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Brown of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 23 Apr 04 at 5:37 pm.
Chad Allen Fox, age 26, 926 State Route 555, Little
Hocking, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Fox was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Evans of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 23 Apr 04 at 7:40 pm.
